Who Fuels Up?

How so? When we bid vacation, the seniority list shows 85 people. How does that indicate 85 routes? Doesn't every station have more people than routes? Maybe our station is ran different than others as far as manning.
On the AM would indicate that's how many are working in the building at the same time. I'm just saying it's just easier for people to understand when you say # of routes.

It will be fine

Oldy is just backpedalling, ignore him. I have more trucks than people in my operation. My guys also have normal corporate credit cards and I encourage them to use a rewards card, why not? I guess I trust my people more than express does.

I guess. I just go by people numbers. I have no idea the number of rts. I just subtract the swings and shared rts and have a guesstimate. I don't even know some of the peoples names, I just see them in the bldg. We had a pinball tournament in the breakroom the other day and it came down to me and some guy I don't even recall seeing before. Newbie kicked my tail on the Dolly Parton machine.

How do you have more routes than people? That must take some interesting scheduling.

I can get 2 days of driving my Isuzu on my route (about ~130 miles daily) and we have a fuel truck twice a week, so I end up fueling once a week.

Thankfully, I'm generally the only one driving my truck. Garbage is emptied, truck is clean and fueled with nobody to blame but me (or the mech when he takes it and leaves it on E).

If you use a company credit card, how are you gonna get free stuff? Most of the stations near our station already give us free coffee and soft drinks when we fill up. Not sure what other free stuff we should expect.

Simple mr. tRump lover, I have twin 80gl saddle tanks on my rig, I fuel up at a truck stop on an Indian reservation, that has an attached casino and restaurant. I get free play and dinner on the company dime.

Gee, gambling on company time. There has to be a policy violation in there somewhere.

You're also smarter than Express as we have more people than serviceable trucks most of the time... great when the station gets stupidly-heavy with swings waiting for FO to return with their vans to load up and try to salvage service.

If the company is buying his dinner, would he not be on company time as well. No idea how road drivers get paid but if he is driving a company truck, he is most likely in some type of uniform. Unless he changes clothes, he is in uniform at the casino. Visiting a casino while driving a company truck while getting paid to drive that truck and possibly in uniform. Sure seems like a possible policy violation to me.

We have been told to not even buy lottery tickets while on the clock. Can't imagine visiting a casino while on duty in uniform would be ok.

Does he not get a lunch break?

No idea how road drivers are paid or how their meals are paid. If they are buying his dinner is he not on company time? I don't know. Even on your lunch break, company policies still apply. If he is driving the truck, is he not in uniform? I don't know. I do know it is frowned upon playing in a casino while in uniform.

Ask Dano. He is the authority on company policies. I just know we have some casinos nearby and we have been told when we deliver there, we can't play at lunch while in uniform and if we go after work, we can't be in uniform.

Critical and Ground might be on different policies.

LOL.

I do know you aren't supposed to play in a casino while in uniform. On or off the clock.

Then again. Ground and Critical seem to violate most safe driving rules. Why should they bother following any other rule?

We just got 10-15 uhaul vans in this week because we're so short on trucks.
