Why is this company so painfully dumb with dispatch and technology. Literally everything has made deliveries harder.

As much as it seems like things are insanely stupid and Orion makes things difficult, they want it to make us faster and do more work. How much seniority do you have , did you know it wasn’t long ago we actually had to get a signature at EVERY commercial stop . . Not CIR , we had to bug every person

Yeah, I mean running a route long enough that you can picture every single house and its address in your head. Orion doesn't have anything on a driver that can visualize their whole route and the best way to run it just by skimming through your dispatch. Ultimately Orion is there for the cover guy running blind. The company makes a mistake forcing Orion compliance on guys that expertly know their routes.
I know my route like the back of my hand but I blindly follow ORION trace every day like a good little trained Colobus Monkey. I run in circles all day and could care less. I'll easily clear 100k this year following ORION's *.

What’s funny though if you have a surepost pkg at a commercial stop you can’t do CIR and you have to get a signature

Remember when business NDA Savers had to be delivered by 3pm? Can you imagine the 💩 show that would occur if they ever tried to bring this back

They just rolled out AI dispatch here and apparently AI dispatch doesn't know how to do an eight hour request and the human dispatcher isn't allowed to change it. LOL. Money printer go BRrrrRRRRrrrr

Glad I’m in the central and I’ll just drive it back if I have an eight. Never understood the language that gives me money for missing my eight hour day when what I wanted was to work only eight hours that day.

Sometimes it works to our advantage like on a week with max vacations you already know they aren't going to honor the requests so you put them in collect your free money then reuse the requests later in the month 😁🤑

I get what u mean tho there have definitely been times when I have an 8 hour because I have something I need to do and the supervisor says sorry we aren't going to even try we will just pay you the penalty
Funny how they get indignant when you turn that around on them in regards to the contract.
