Absolutely get a lawyer ASAP - ask around and interview several before selecting one. Workers Comp cases have predetermined payments, however, the fact that there was a known defect to the facility that was not fixed brings in negligence- that’s a whole different legal ballgame. Hope your recovery goes well!Hi all, I work in the warehouse, was helping loading the container.(not my usual bay) The gap between the trailer and loading bay, the support was broken(can't be seen cos there's a black rubber cover on top). According to my coworkers, people have been telling Sups to fix it but nothing was done.
My feet went in to my knee, wedged so I lost my balance and fell face first hit the steel roller table for the bulky items.
Should I get a lawyer? A union rep lawyer or outside lawyer?
Have a blessed day
