Three technologies UPS is using to get ahead – Louisville Business First

UPS is “a technology company with trucks,” according to Matt Capozzoli, vice president of flight operations for UPS Airlines.

Capozzoli spoke yesterday during the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Summit, which took place at the Galt House.

During the appearance, Capozzoli discussed three technologies the company is using.

FedEx closing all retail office stores in Canada – CBC

Shipping giant FedEx has quietly moved to close retail office stores in all Canadian cities putting more than 214 people out of work and ending three decades of doing business in the country.

FedEx will continue to ship within Canada, but its copy and office supply stores will close Aug. 18.

“We reached the decision to exit the Canadian market after thoughtful evaluations of our business operations and considerations about our future,” a company statement said.

UPS Subsidiary to Create 325 Jobs in Atlanta – Commercial Property Executive

The Atlanta unit of United Parcel Service Inc., Coyote Logistics, revealed plans to develop a 48,000-square-foot operations center in Atlanta. The project will lead to the creation of 325 professional jobs, including full-time sales and customer service positions.

The location, 255 Ottley Drive within Armour Yards, will allow the UPS subsidiary to benefit from the area’s expansive transportation infrastructure and well-connected business community. The Armour Yards office will accommodate the firm’s information technology, customer service and sales employees.

Driver of UPS truck taken to local hospital after New Hampshire turnpike crash – NH1

No major injuries were reported when a tractor trailer truck crashed on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua Wednesday night.

Police and firefighters responded to the area between exits 5 and 6 southbound about 10:27 p.m. Rescuers found a United Parcel Service 18-wheeler off of the highway.

Nashua Fire Rescue Deputy Chief George Walker said Thursday the driver was out of the rig when firefighters arrived. He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua with unknown injuries.
