It don't take much ...
all you got to remember is show up, smile, wave em off, say "I'll look into that", forget everything, go home, repeat 10.000 times, retire
Yeah that's all fine and dandy until one of your Minions screw's something up and they come they come to you for answers and you're stoned.

Running a sort is not rocket science. We do the same thing everyday. Unless they're asking me to defuse a bomb I think everything will be okay. And guess what. We were on time everyday. Hell I even made my number. My "minions" are well trained. Having me there is merely a formality.

So although that I can drive a vehicle perfectly fine after 4 beers when the po-po wants to charge me with DUI I can tell them driving a vehicle is not rocket science? You are there working impaired......Period.

Yep. And it was approved. I didn't down a bottle of Jack and show up. I never operated anything that would injure anybody. I never touched a package car. I never touched my personal car. I never touched the belt. Things did get a little dangerous though when I saved that excel file to the wrong folder.
"Not porn" folder?

I guess you never worked a hub Midnight sort before. As long as you are not falling down or puking drunk, get to work.

So... you're saying that your supervisors said it's ok for you to come to work high? Just want to clarify that.

Yep. I called my FT Sup and explained the situation. He asked if I could still come in. I explained I was on some pain killers and I wouldn't be able to drive. He asked if I could get a ride. Then asked the center manager and he approved it with the obvious condition I couldn't run machinery such as the belt or a package car that night. I'm not going to show up to work high on prescription meds and not make it known.

Something tells me you were high for most if not all of your career.
Not true.
I rarely drank ...
Never took illegal drugs after I went into driving and management ...
I was a responsible friend/T UPS employee.

I do empathize with your bitterness though and it allows me to see your good.
There is a good person in there.
I know it.

Listen I know what you did and I really could care less, all I'm saying is you went to work impaired and could have lost your job if something bad happened and you were questioned about it. You trusted what your boss told you was ok. You may need to reevaluated that decision process.
