only dirt I have on management is the contract. If they follow they know they will find nothing since it has never produced anything but a grievence in the past. Orion produces far more miles and I file 9.5s.

It is not rocket science. Do what they say and it takes longer and adds miles. Not my job to make Orion look good...just to follow it.

That's what they do. We were hoping that this thread would have reached those who would reply out of true compassion and concern for their brothers and sisters regarding what ORION is causing all over this country. We were testing the waters with this first thread and did not put out the facts just to see what initial responses we would get. It seems we have some comedic, non concerned jokesters on the cafe who may not see or are even concerned that fellow drivers in many centers and hubs throughout this country, who are currently being progressively documented for ORION non compliance, and are at the cusp of termination. Our intent is to protect the rank and file ONLY and much research has gone into our proposals to our Union leadership. So, to the "Orions Bitch" member, you are correct, we do have some "dirt" but cannot post here per Cheryl's guidelines! To the "wide load" member we did not waste a proposal to our Union leaders especially one that will improve job security and safety for every driver. Our safety and security is NOT a waste! To the "vvv" member, if we insulted you to the point that you needed to imply some profanity and profane name calling in your response we assure you that this in not NONSENSE as you imply as some of your brothers and sisters need some help while it appears you may not. To the"IndecisiOn" member, apathy and your "decision" not to show any concern by not reading our first thread is troubling to us and am sure to thousands of other drivers who are concerned about losing their jobs because of ORION. To the "11hour request" member, walls will continue to separate hourly and management until we break down those walls and use the leverage that is within our means. But then again you probably didn't read this "wall" of text now did you? To the member "MCO493" and the few others, PATIENCE PLEASE, our attorney is still working out a few details for us. By the way our attorney is a former UPSer, worked PT for UPS for 3 years and 11 years FT in management, studied law thru the Earn to Learn program while working at UPS, was then asked to leave the company and is now a successful attorney. To the "olroadbeech" member, you have no idea how accurate you may be as some of these perceived fantasy contract items by UPS will be presented and used in the 2018 negotiations as leverage to get what they want or to possibly take away from what we already have. And it will happen! To the "ManInBrown" member, you must know that you speak for thousands of drivers. And finally to the LeadBelly2.0 member, we have no desire to hang ourselves but rather we will provide statistical information to BC, within the guidelines set forth by Cheryl, to all current BC members and to hopefully hundreds and even thousands more new BC members who are interested in protecting their futures with UPS. And don't expend too much time and effort in discovering who we are LeadBelly as you will find out soon enough. Our information or "facts" that some members are looking for will be forthcoming soon and these "facts" will assist every service provider in determining just exactly when they will or want to leave this company and not when an overly zealous division manager or center manager or on road sup determines when we leave UPS!
And to those UPS Atlanta office boys and girls who are monitoring this very productive, informative, meaningful and necessary web site, make sure you report everything you read here and are about to read to those movers and shakers in higher places there because our contract in 2018 will not be a contract of give backs to the company as some have talked about but a contract that will give us back the dignity and respect every UPS driver has earned and deserves! By line 8 when I had saw "Orions Bitch" mentioned I had felt some mild excitement down below.

Line 9 he rolls out "Wide Load", and as I was removing my pants to my knees I couldn't help but to look down yet again thinking he surely must know me.....but how?

But then it all HIT ME!!! Line 11.....I made the big time!!!! "vvv" is mentioned and I just couldn't hold containment and my baby maker juices were at a boil......and then it happened.......BAMMMMM!!!!!!!!
Now I finally came to realization why they always called me 2 Pump Chump growing up.
I couldn't even hold serve threw half of this love novel......and rather just served up a big ol' mess on my damn laptop.

Kids out there I can only suggest this.......if our friend does happen to post again and you decide to read it thru, and are easily stimulated like myself. I can only recommend you have an ample supply of paper towels at arms reach.
Or better yet, pop yourself a nice bucket of popcorn before the old lady comes home but hold off on the butter. Begin reading and relax into it. And when the moment hits you get that bucket ready and hit those warm popped kernels center cut. Take a deep breath and head to the kitchen and give the bucket a few swirls with a spatula and then a couple shakes (discard spatula).

Not to change the subject, but how does one present a proposal for the NMA? I know my local union will be having a meeting about it at some point, but how do you go about presenting it directly. Is there a specific form or does one just write a letter. Is there a certain amount of signatures required?

Telematics data alone cannot be used for disciplinary purposes. If you are doing your job properly, wearing your seatbelt, closing the BH door etc then you have nothing to fear from Telematics. If you aren't, then start.
Article 37 requires us to perform our duties in a manner which best represents the interests of the Employer. If ORION conflicts with that, its their problem not yours. It is not a condition of employment to be able to do long division in one's head in order to calculate whether or not one is generating a compliance metric. And we also have 9.5 language to use against unreasonable dispatches. If they push too hard...follow it 100% and allow the route to fail. Or do what I have done every day for 4 years now....turn ORION off and use area knowledge and common sense to deliver the route as efficiently as possible. ORION is garbage, they know it, so they don't bother talking to me about it.

It's time folks, time to take back our dignity, self respect, self worth and most of all our job security once and for all. First TELEMATICS was developed, per the Atlanta leaders, to improve our overall safety picture. REALLY who says? Someone in Atlanta should now provide the rank and file with the safety statistics to prove that injuries and auto accidents were in fact reduced since TELEMATICS was implemented. But they can't and they won't. We all know why TELEMATICS was developed don't we! Next came ORION or what we now refer to as their savior planet urANUS Jr.! And it won't stop there drivers. There will be more and more processes yet to be developed by Atlanta and the pressure on us will NEVER ever stop until we stand firm and hold our ground regarding ORION. And we can do it, I can guarantee it!! The Atlanta braniacs, specifically Mr. Peretz, claims that ORION has saved and will continue to save UPS millions of $$$$$$. After all UPS C.E.O. David Abney got a 21% total compensation increase back in 2016 so no wonder UPS needs to save money. And the talk continues about serious pension cuts???? Now we drivers all want UPS to save money and remain profitable but at whose expense? And we drivers all want UPS to prosper and gain additional business but we are tired of these computer brainiacs in Atlanta who have been telling us that there is a better way to run our areas, save fuel costs and save money. And in most cases we CAN'T follow ORION 100% of the time so UPS threatens us with our jobs because that's what they are good at when we can't work as directed and adhere to their newly developed processes. Not sure about you folks but we are done playing their games, tired of day after day, month after month, me and my brothers and sisters being threatened with our jobs because of ORION. July 2018 is approaching soon and a strong, viable message needs to be sent to UPS corporate Atlanta and that message is "change is a comin"!

Our backs have been pinned up against the wall long enough and Mr. Abney and the rest will not like the 2018 contract proposals(s). We have proposed to our UNION leadership language that will literally change the way UPS has been doing business for decades now. Our proposal(s) are game changers, but we will need every service provider to get on board so use the cafe to get the word out and then get with as many of your brothers and sisters to get them to go on line and read or even sign up on the cafe cause a change, "a very radical change", has been proposed to Mr. H. and Mr. O. And as many drivers as possible will soon need to read what we will be putting out here on the B C . July 2018 is approaching soon and a strong, viable message needs to be sent to UPS corporate Atlanta and that message is "change is a comin"!
