Anyone have many of the Collin St Bakery Fruitcakes, Harry & David, Wisconsin Cheese, or any of those other big Holiday Specialty Shippers?

Standing around till 10:00 am waiting on planes that are loaded with Amazon promises. Trouble is, I see UPS's problem. How do you justify spending so much money to prepare for just 2 or 3 weeks of excess volume?

Because this is the time of year to earn people's trust that we won't :censored2: things up or deliver a nuked package. If we could as a company deliver on our promise while being brief and polite...

Then the rest of the year people would choose UPS.

I have to admit this is one of the easiest peaks ever at my hub...however we also only had one day of snow/ice and that was only for the first little bit of the day. Melted away by lunch. I'm sure they'll be patting each other on the back here. They got lucky. If the snow would have hit the ground like it does 80% of the time we would have been screwed real good. Worse than at any other time in our history, we would have got the ol' raw dog.
