Does anyone know if you keep your pension if you are termitated?
As long as you are vested----yes. You have earned that pension and will collect it when you reach Normal Retirement Age, which is usually 65.
Full retirement at 60. Can take it as early as 55 but is reduced 3% for each year before 60.
Fully vester after 5 years.
Did you get terminated, gosh I hate that word...
I agree. It is so harsh and final. I was on the edge once and almost "terminated"
The Lord had Mercy on me.
Funny, we get 'terminated' but if you're upper management types you 'part ways'.
Upper management "leaves to pursue other opportunities", even if they were banging the help, embezzling, blackmailing, or otherwise screwing the pooch.
