Tues-Saturday with Mon-Fri bid route

Hey all. I work in a center with 22 drivers and we run 15-19 routes a week. The bottom 5-7 based on seniority are going to be going to a Tuesday-Saturday work schedule. Out of those drivers, a couple have Monday-Friday bid routes. We are told that Tues-Sat is going to be based on seniority no matter if the driver has a Mon-Fri bid route. So someone will be running the route on Monday and not the bid driver since they will be working a Tue-Sat schedule. Anyone else experiencing this or know for sure if you can be kicked off the route on Monday?
Thanks all!

Here we are being told we are going to re-bid our routes. We bid every 2 years (just did this February) but management is going to designate X number of routes Mon-Fri and X number Tues-Sat. Supposed to happen shortly after the contract is ratified.

There are a few higher seniority drivers that liked Tues-Sat. They made all their appointments on Mondays and were the first to go home on Saturday.

If they rebid routes, those higher seniority drivers should essentially be uneffected, right? Theyll just rebid their Tues - Sat route.

When they introduced 22.4’s, those guys were all forced to go Mon-Fri. We had Saturday delivery for almost 2 years before 22.4’s so some bid it and got bumped back with that language.

Not sure what people will do but I’m sure there will be some nice routes available to lower seniority drivers because people won’t follow their route if it switches.

You smell that?

What contract language are they using to rebid routes?

You can bid a M-friend route and a Tues-Sat schedule.

The routes won’t change. You bid your schedule, then you bid your route. You work your route on your scheduled days if it is built.
