UPS Airlines will fly an all-Black crew during Thunder Over Louisville, for the first time in the air show’s history.

The crew of four spent about an hour in the UPS flight simulator on Thursday to practice the flight path just days before the big event.

Louisville native Jordan Dorsey, a First Officer and co-pilot on the Thunder flight, called it an honor.

Days of severe weather in Acadiana has caused flooded roads across the area, but that didn’t stop UPS driver Edward Brown from delivering a package to a New Iberia resident. The resident’s doorbell camera caught footage of Brown braving severe conditions.

UPS driver nears retirement after 45 years and 4 million miles on the road – Fox 10

For a 74-year-old Valley man, it’s time for retirement after logging more than four million miles on the road for UPS.

It’s a rare accomplishment to not only stay at one company for 45 years, but UPS says there isn’t anyone who rivals Paul Scott’s accomplishments, including his millions of miles driven.

Now, he’s ready to park his truck and celebrate his achievements.

“It is the best job, it is the best job,” Scott remarked.

UPS expands WWEF shipment service in PHL – Business Mirror

UPS has expanded its Worldwide Express Freight (WWEF) shipment service to more postal codes in the Philippines to help its customers meet urgent delivery requirements.

Businesses like West Point Engineering Inc. will benefit from time-guaranteed palletized shipments above 70 kilograms to more areas in Bulacan, Mabalacat, Angeles City, Laguna and Batangas, allowing businesses to more easily and quickly replenish bulk inventories.

“We have been a partner of UPS for over seven years,” said Dennis Ziganay, president and CEO of West Point Engineering. “Through this pandemic, we’ve been able to meet the demands of these challenging times… thanks to UPS.”

UPS stretches ‘afternoon’ to midnight with return to delivery guarantees – The Loadstar

The two large US integrators have moved to bring back delivery guarantees to the parcel sector.

Within a day of each other, UPS and FedEx announced service guarantees for overnight air products and international parcel shipments.

However, at least in UPS’s case, the guarantee for afternoon deliveries has been diluted by stretching the window beyond general notions of what constitutes an afternoon – these deliveries are deemed timely if they arrive by 11:59pm, local time.

Previously the threshold was 3pm in many cases, for some it was noon, commented John Haber, CEO of parcel consultancy Spend Management Experts.
