$2.75 and then $7.50 or $7.50 total

Lots of confusion for full pay scale and have seen at least 3 different stories with 3 different wording. Anyone have solid teamster website info instead of media sites?

It's $10.25 over 5 years. Unless they messed up the wording, which needs to be quickly fixed.

$2.75 more per hour in 2023, and $7.50 more per hour over the length of the contract.

its $2.75 for 2023. And another
$7.50 more for the rest of the contract. This is what my steward said.

Since we’re speculating, For someone making $19-$20 currently, what if they simply add $2.75 to that to get to their new rate?

Are we sure it’s $21 plus $2.75 and not $19 plus $2.75 for a legion of part timers who have 9-11 years seniority.

Nope----$2.75/hr 8/1/23 and $4.75/hr spread over the last 4 years.

What’s your opinion on how that $2.75 will affect senority members under $21? The language is confusing. If they’re at $18 an hour now, Do they get bumped to $21 and then get $2.75 on top of that, or is the $2.75 added to their $18 and then the difference is made up to bring them to $21?

I would think it would be the latter.

According to my business agent, $7.50 total over the contract

Unless we have a generous cola, it’s gonna be a no vote from me.
Seriously? While I don't remember the numbers from each of the contracts that I worked under, I do know for a fact that I never received a $2.75/hr single year raise nor did I ever receive $7.50/hr over a 5 year contract.

COLA is based on CPI which neither the Union or Company have any control over.

I think they were referring to tweaking Art 33

The wording is absolutely terrible. It reads like we get $2.75 the first year and $7.50 over the other four years of the contract.

Would you get lost you don't even drive. This isn't 2015, it is now 2023 where we have a real 20% decrease in spending power, RIGHT NOW.
Everyone keeps touting these large numbers like they mean anything. It's all relative. The fact is we will end up making less in the future than we do now when you factor inflation into the mix.

No, it isn’t. It’s $7.50 total. The official release clearly states a new top rate of $49. I don’t know who your steward is but he is misinformed and shouldn’t be spreading crap if he doesn’t fully understand what he is talking about.
