His son Beau died of brain cancer in May 2015. Joe would have been understandably worthless on the primary/campaign trail.

He's def the guy DNC & Wall Street can get behind as the establishment candidate. Still, however off the timing was with his own family issues. His window is closed. At least IMO.
The Democrats lack a youthful, well funded well grounded candidate with a strong national presence. Trump's defiant stonewalling of Congress is right out of Richard Nixon's play book. We all saw and or learned about how well that turned out and could be his undoing. Congressmen have big egos too and you dis congress you're playing with fire. In the end he may prevail but don't be too sure of that.
Given the current circumstances and political environment when it comes to who will grab the parties presidential nominations.....right now it's anyone's game .

I have never seen a congress (Dems) with these 'blinders' on. It's "get Trump" and they offer nothing else. If I was a Dem and I elected these people, I would be asking for my vote back. They are working for nobody!!

I think you should experience multiple investigations for the same made up crime and have people calling you a criminal and a traitor on TV every day so you can then tell us how Trump should be doing things.
