Another lesser of two evils election. Wouldn't it be something if someone ran for president that we could be excited about? 30 years, take the pension and go get a stressless job.

3 accidents in a year - awfully bad luck, but those are grounds.

Where is the next Ronald Reagan when we need him? Last strong president we had in the last 40 years.

Good Luck with the hearing, I hope you get something out of the 30+ years. Even if he can get his retirement and do something else. Every company that I have worked for has the same policy. I have never been in an accident with a company vehicle (Knock on wood) and can understand the fear....Truely, good luck...

The reason they had to drive all the way to Nashville is because panels and deadlock panels always seem to be in exotic/distant places and never centrally located. It's not uncommon....I've seen it before.

What ever happened to the company only being able to consider the last nine months of an employees personnel file for discipline? I hope the driver protested all warning letters/discipline in a timely manner when they occurred. I am, of course, assuming all three accidents didn't happen within the last nine months.

Why would you come to a UNION website and ask for UNION help and then start bashing the only presidential candidate that gives a crap about a UNION.
How much would McCain do for the UNION that will be protecting your husbands job and retirement?

This is not a union site . It is a ups site for upsers covering all facets of ups including the union.

With that said I also picked up on her sarcastic jab which was out of place for someone looking for help.

3rd accident - 1st was backing into boss's bumper in UPS feeder lot (it wasn't supposed to be parked there), 2nd was swerving to avoid oncoming truck & swiped abandoned vehicle, 3rd was overcorrecting & lost back set. All happened within a year, so even though he'd made circle of honor, it was all taken away.

I'm surprised a circle of honor driver had accidents of this type in a year. Are there health issues that are possibly contributing to his sudden lack of driving excellence?

your signature phrase is a bit brainy if you're trying to influence those who will vote toward socialism. I would suggest simplifiying a bit and we'll get the job done.

You are truly ignorant arent you. If you were educated in economics at all, you would know that Obama's economic policy will drive the economy further downward. If I get a chance I will post some details in a new thread later this weekend, because some of you out there need to start thinking for yourself and asking questions.

Where did you get your degree? Are you using it? Why would someone that has such an understanding of the economy be hanging out on this blog?
You can post all the links you want and I am sure I can find a link that will refute anything you post. I heard the same arguments when Bill Clinton was elected and my 401 did extremely well during those eight years.

Also why when you don't agree with something you resort to name calling?
Why can't we have a civil discussion?

"Ignorant" maybe! But I have been able to acquire over a million in stocks an Real Estate over the past 30 years at UPS. I don't think thats to bad for an "ignorant" person. A delivery boy at that.

Doesn't matter where you got your degree if there's nothing up there to think critically and independently. Those that live in glass houses should not throw stones, sir.

I have two degrees, one from a school well-respected in its region, the other highly respected regionally, nationally AND internationally. I still hang out on this board despite my education (not very often but I still check in), so I don't understand your point. Are you saying that those of us with more education wouldn't be interested in the talk on this board? I usually find it quite amusing. My latest degree had a little economic piece to it, so I do understand most of the economic talk. In addition, it doesn't take a genius to understand the economy (if you know basic arithmetic and have a passing interest, you can understand the economy). My two cents. -Rocky

Is anyone reading RockyRogues posts as of late?

God bless him, but if this isn't condencending and self centered, I don't know what is...

"Despite my education I still hang out here"

Did I read that correctly?

I understand he's been around awhile, and again God Bless him for continuing his education, but that is not at all normal behavior

I find your statement quite puzzling. You make a negative statement "I still hang out on this board DESPITE my education..." then turn around and act like WE are surprised you are here because of how all "SMART" you are..lol...
The funny part is just how IGNORANT you come off. :)
You have NO clue as to the educational background of any poster on this board unless they have told you and the very fact that you have made such a bold generalization lends to the notion you might not be such a bright light bulb after all.

The economy is not that easy to understand. And you need to have more than just a basic understanding of arithmetic to understand it. Try algebra. How do I know? I've had 4 years of econ classes.

Oh and by the way Rocky..two cents won't even buy you a gum ball anymore.

This is really turning into a thread hijack...

Maybe start your own thread???

Good luck at panel.

I suspect that the reason why wives post about these situations is because the husband does not tell her what's going on. I work with guys that their wives still don't know what they make a year.

Wow, I truly feel honored to be sharing the same (cyber)space as one with so much education yet willing to "give back" by slumming here at the Brown Cafe with us. RR, you are not the only person who has gone to school beyond high school. I have 2 Associates, 1 Bachelors and 9 hours towards a Master Degree so please don't try to impress up with your education.

So, why do I drive boxes around Plattsburgh (NY)? I could not find comparable work in my career field after my honorable discharge from the Air Force and I was hired by UPS after a chance phone call to a friend whom I had been stationed with here at PAFB. 19 yrs later, 11 more to go, 2 kids through college, secure retirement.

Anyway, back to your post. Get off your academic high horse. You are no better than anyone else, no matter what you may think.

On the other hand, if you ever decide to write a book, your post may have provided you with the title that you need:

"How To Act Like A Pompous Ass and Not Impress People"

Should be a best seller as autobiographies often do well.
