So, who else watched frontline and laughed at the new rule.

Are they planning on giving us helpers every day if we have a big industrial route?

Workers comp is my guess... I've seen in my small run here quite a few people go out for shoulder injuries and some never to return because of them.

They’re looking out for your safety

Remember, we don't have a union (even if it's a weak one) to protect the employees against management when local management decides to "clean house" of employees who follow the rule because "half the station ignores it"...

Which is too bad because a 50 lb limit sounds downright luxurious.

My guess would be completed claims rising.

I know our station has seen an influx of people off on comp, over the past couple years.

Seems the younger guys and gals get hurt more easily.

I thought the new rule was for handlers only?

“Operations hourly employees”.

I think it’s funny a manager is supposed to call HCMP if their employee can’t lift 50 lbs. what are they going to do? Lol.

I just want to make friends!
Old: "This is a hard job and you can get hurt."
Management makes job easier and safer.
New: "Management doesn't care and everyone is a wuss."

Oh well.
