And if you look at the contract language for the rest of the supplement in Article 61 you’ll see that the rest of the locals went up to 5 roving holidays and Black Friday is no longer listed in the holidays because that was the trade off.

Not here. But as @UpstateNYUPSer(Ret) said, they got theirs traded in for an option day. Still a loss. Now you’re getting straight pair for the day and straight pay for the option day instead of straight plus double time for Black Friday. So essentially they lost a whole days pay.

I see you’re retired . Sorry but you’re wrong here . We got a 5th rover when we gave up Black Friday . And along with the 5th rover (which obviously was only 4 before) they gave us the option to bid an extra week off if we wanted with all 5, had to be done after all vaca bids
