Active thread - Zimmerman Not Guilty

Yeah, let's really stick it to the airport workers, the waiters and waitresses, the hotel personnel and all the blue collar workers in Florida. Stevie Wonder wants to boycott Florida too.....just tell him he's not in Florida !!!

Here comes the patented race baiter shakedown.
Via Breitbart:
As a response to the Trayvon Martin case and Florida’s stand your ground law Jessie Jackson is calling for a boycott of the state:
“No doubt, the inclination is to boycott Florida, stop conventions, to isolate Florida as a kind of apartheid state…”

I'd love to see them boycott Florida, especially the conventions here in Orlando. Good lord do they pound me with crap over at Disney. A slow down would be welcome, but its never going to happen.

Plus, how dare they call such a thing. A lot of people depend on the money from tourist here. Of course I said I welcome the slow down on the UPS side of things, but the locals need the buisness. How dare they call such a thing and put the people in Florida in that situation.

no offense, but people have a right to wear whatever they want and they shouldn't be mistaken as a criminal or thief. Zimmerman had every right to think something suspicious was going on since his area has had break ins before, but the fact of the matter is he should not have pursued him. If he would have never pursued him or followed him this would have been avoided. Zimmerman was told that he shouldn't follow him and he did anyways. He disobeyed orders and that's why he should have gotten arrested at least. They arrested him 44 days later. You have to put yourself in others shoes if it were your child you would be devastated. What crime is it in wearing a hoodie and walking home from the store? If Zimmerman would have left him alone like he was told to do the police would have came and questioned him and if he wasn't doing anything wrong he would have continued his walk home, but instead he is dead. This group of protesters really need to stop, they are just making society's speculations about their group true. It is ok to share your thoughts, but they shouldn't harm others or attack someone else's character in the process.

"He disobeyed orders and that's why he should have gotten arrested at least."

Nope. He was never given and orders and even if the 911 dispatcher had told him not to follow it would not be a lawful order since the dispatcher is not a police officer and has no legal authority. The dispatcher told Zimmerman "you don't need to do that" (in reference to following Martin) and Zimmerman said OK. Both Zimmerman and Martin were breaking no laws and both had the right to walk around. Martin did not have the right to assault Zimmerman. That is why it was self defense for Zimmerman. It is a tragedy and there needs to be discussions of what happened but in a constructive way to prevent future tragedies. Rioting and screaming "Justice for Trayvon!" achieves nothing except create a stumbling block for useful dialogs. There was Justice, its just some people didn't get the verdict they wanted.

Exactly. Those who are able to put themselves in others' shoes can accept justice. Those who can not obviously don't want justice. They want what they're needs met.
