Says it in your attachment, the kids getting $0.50 as he achieved seniority AFTER aug 1 2018 (October 2018 by their account) The 2 -tier progression the contract speaks of is the sort aisle/load pay vs regular/unload pay, they are erasing that and making it linear. Hope you got it.
Sorry but you're mistaken. Hes not working off a old contract especially when that language you are talking about is no longer in this current contract.

Everyone was bumped to whatever progression year they are in.

But he said he started in October of 2018, so doesn't the part right after your green highlighting apply?
Yes it's says.he would start at $13 and because the raise for 2019 is less than the 2019 progression he would move to $14. Now in 2020 the raise is hire than the progression so he would make $14.80

So if he's at $14.50 now, he should go up to $15.40...but new hires will start at $15 as of August 1. I get it.

I lost interest a few post ago is what the ok means

But isn't the progression only $0.50 a year?

So 3 years ago UPS gave you more than the raises or progression. So yes if I'm correct you'd be at $15.90 Aug 1st. Though aren't you in 705/710 which is a different than the NMA?
