Organizing Amazon has been under way for a while. You keep bringing this up like the IBT just walks up to Amazon workers and they jump and cheer and sign cards and the next day they throw a parade.

You have no idea what it takes to organize or even how it works. Take your subtle anti union management crap somewhere else.

actually I am more union than management......I also agree with freedom of choice....the union really has to present a viable reason (s) for people to join...not just a knee jerk reaction.....I am very knowledgeable concerning the labor history in america. ...closed shop states are a relic of the past. they are the result of deals made between management and unions.......times do change. ...and yes I misspoke earlier about being too early concerning the union transfer of power.........I dont have any vested in this......I dont have any ups stock anymore and my ups pension isn't going anywhere.....could be if there is a strike and ups stock goes down enough I will buy back in......many ups management both retired and active are rooting for you folks for this reason........I was fine with united parcel service up until the public debacle and going public as ups....I get amazon packages and I talk with the drivers........they certainly dont know who you folks are.......better increase your visibility....the truth is that both union and ups are companies......and change your name by dropping the international until you folks are international.....its inaccurate and mis-leading being false advertisement.......ive been mentioning this for a long time....

I’am gonna go ahead and say you’ve no idea what your talking about

eats packages

Deranged lunatic
You have to tread carefully. They are trying out the same model fedex uses. Each group is supposedly a subcontractor. You would have to unionize the building workers first before drivers have even a slim chance.

Stop... I'll tell you what. You're part time right?

Go work at Amazon for the other half and see what it's really like. You get more than you think at UPS. Don't be that guy. You're smarter than that.

I have no interest in working for bezos. But if you were trying to organize Amazon, how would you sell it to them with what I mentioned in the post above? What's the counter argument aside from from how much better the top rate RPCD or feeder drivers are taken care of?What benefit is it to part timers aside from job protection?Top rate drivers from UPS set the standard in the industry, how do you sell part timers doing skilled jobs like shifting that have been there 3 and half years still making $15 an hour?

What you don't understand is you're believing what you've been told. Not what you've experienced. Bet you heard all sort of great things from UPS before you worked here. Then you realize there was stipulations to those great things. You're being mislead like most by bought and paid for media/advertisments by Amazon.

If this job is so great why does it have the worst turn over rate in the country? Why are articles being written about how Amazon is churning through people so fast that they may not have a sufficient amount of workers to move their product in the near future?

OR

How their injury rate is so high that states have had to change their work comp insurance laws to not screw other companies?

My point is that people LOVE to point out how amazon starts out with all these things but never do the research to understand that they never actually have to pay out on them!

I know for a fact 396 is part of the national project to help organize amazon. How about you go to your local and ask to volunteer. One of the main aspects is member involvement. When you do that PM me and we'll talk.
