Any retired drivers returning for peak?

Which the teamsters should never have allowed. I think they can work but there may be restrictions on hours worked so it doesn't affect the pension. Maybe a retired driver can chime in and tell us how it works.

Our pension limits hours worked in the same industry while collecting a pension to 40. The Union agreed to waive these restrictions for those retirees (who don't have a life) who wish to come back and work during Peak. The last I heard before going on vacation is that we do not have any retirees coming back in our center.

Only one came back and he retired in Oct, why he didn't just work thru peak is crazy IMO. I'd rather have two months added to my pension (approx $40/month extra pension) than a few extra bucks now. To each his own.

Work through Peak and retire after Peak = paycheck each week.
Retire in Oct=pension check AND paycheck for Peak.
Sounds like good math to me, and a smart move!

nowhere special
If you retire in Oct you already have credit for the full year for pension so working 2 more months won't increase your pension.
