I always thought that smart was a function of how well a person executed within a specific environment.

Interesting, no wonder you succeeded in the UPS Corporate environment.

I always assumed ‘smart’ was a function of innate intelligence and the skills to build on it.

As opposed to, innate skills one wouldn’t necessarily correlate with intelligence, but would allow someone to succeed in a particular endeavor.

For instance, you could be the most ‘intelligent’ guy in the room, but completely fail in what we call ‘life’.

The other guy in the room is half as smart, but has drive and ambition and stamina...that guy is going to ‘win’ in ‘life’, even though his teachers were sure he was ‘special’.

I don’t think anyone is doubting Carsons’ intelligence, but, but...

oh and too many people think they cant change much and end up changing alot less than they should.
