It's a volunteer armed forces, not drafted.

The regular Army was brought in to police the riots in 1967. They were much more reasonable than the National Guard that had initiated confrontations.

In 2021, there may be enough rogue elements in the armed forces willing to be traitors and install a fascist leader. I think they will be defeated by the true patriots.

This civil war scenario you hope for would be the of The Republic.
