Black Footwear?

I’ve heard mention of couriers having to wear black shoes or boots. But is there an actual, published policy requiring it?

Yes. There's actually a percentage, like 90% black that allows for some grey/reflective spots. Your station can fail an audit if there are people in non-compliance. Socks are supposed to be all black too, e.g., no nike or under armour logo, but that's rarely enforced.

Hmm. I’m interested because I need a new pair of hiking shoes for work. I finally found a great pair (Scarpa), but they’re largely brown. I can return them if I must.

Black is preferred. I still wear white socks with shorts.

They've changed then, socks used to be white. I may be showing my age.
