Can you make a living off of this job?

Alright so I made it though Peak Season and I was the few lucky ones that they kept. But I notice that my hours will be cut by a lot since the peak season is over. Is it possible to make a living off of this job alone? Or do you guys have other part time jobs or do something else to make up for the income.

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge

Depends on your personal cost of living setup. Money wise no. The I insurance is worth it but you have to wait so long before you actually are enrolled.

Back when a PTer could work OT, I was a preloader, hazmat responder and NDA driver. Towards the end of my PT career, most weeks, I was working 35 hours. Not that difficult to make a living.

Those were the days, I got 35-40 hours a week just from pre load and driving airs and most Fridays I was off by 1300 for the weekend. If it hadn't been for the money I would have never have gone driving.

I had been a full-scale air driver for less than 3 months when I signed a bid. I should have paid closer attention to that. It would have been nicer to remain on the preload and air drive.
