Closed bulk stops early in the day

Sheet up as closed, and continue. Send a message in on the diad, with how many pkgs, and tell them it you might have service failures do to saftey and egress.

Back in the good old days, mid 1980's........My first route was an industrial park I delivered out of a '24 straight truck. We call them "vans" down here. I had a hardware store warehouse that got about 150-200 boxes a day. First bulk stop and in the way. Customer was a big shipper and they were jerks, they didn't bother to tell me they were going to be closed for inventory the next day. So I get there the next day and they refused to take delivery. I called the office and my supervisor drove out with an empty P-1000. We shipped every single box back as refused.

I don't care if my route is an every day route, a split of multiple routes, or if I'm running 100+ miles on a Saturday. If I get to a business and it's closed on their hour sign, I'm telling someone so we don't have to keep going there and wasting time. Most of the drivers in our center have been doing this since our newest center manager came into the building. It just makes all of our jobs easier by not having to deal with stupid bulk all day.
HAHAHAHA!!! Rookie right? There is no such thing as "wasting time". Sups want to know about closures, so they can load you up with more work. Much easier to park and make service crosses. Trust me, one day that business will NEED that package and someone WILL be there on a day when they're normally closed.

Had one yesterday. Had a bunch of other closed businesses with large irregs and iron. Ruined my whole day. Exhausted today. Brain still isn't at full capacity as you can see. Hope today is better. That's all.
I like the fact you’re using BC as therapy. That’s all

Hate when that happens. A few weeks ago they sent me out with a 60+ piece bulk stop on a Monday to a business that everyone knows is closed on mondays. I couldn’t work around it so I made a trip back to center to drop it off. Burned a good 45 minutes out of my day but I had no other choice.

I don’t get why they do crap like that.

Because they don't care. Anyone who is high enough up in management to care doesn't see this screw up and anyone who does has no incentive to fix it.

Why not get the businesses hours on a piece of paper and take it to the office to have them fix that then? We have a pup that sits on the end of a belt every day that we send closed businesses to on the preload daily. With all the doctors offices, dentists, etc etc here in Florida, it really helps out. Before when we didn't do it, that stuff would just cause issues like the above one. Not worth your time or effort to have to deal with it daily. Take the hit and go the extra mile one time for that one to have it fixed.

We have tried numerous times to get closed business's inputted and still only a handful of business's that are on the brownnosers routes are sent to the closed pile. There are drivers who burn an hour everyday just to drive back to the center to unload closed bulk stops, and management doesn't care. The extra miles must make their numbers look good or something.

The response we get is "ok"(or alternatively over dramatically act like they feel the same way as the driver) and then nothing changes.

I don’t get it. This sounds like a normal day. Only 30 more years of this and it will be over. You should see how ruff retirement is,trying to get laid all the time, figuring what the fun things your going to do everyday. How low to set your air conditioning. Late night booty calls.Being with women slightly older then your daughter. Now don’t you feel better about your problems knowing how I’m suffering with this retirement?

I don't have time to make a daughter.

HAHAHA...I remember those days...when supervisors weren't just puppets of the higher ups and actually had your back a majority of the time against customers...nowadays, someone would be fired for that!
