I have heard from others that the PCBT (pacific coast benefits trust) can be distributed penalty free after you quit working at UPS. regardless of age.

In fact, i think i read the fine print on the back of the statement a while back, and it said something to the effect of recieving that money penalty free, after waiting "x" months after you leave UPS.

It might be worth looking into. Now I am a bit curious, perhaps Ill look at it when i get home.
I've been told the same, but when you look at the back of the statement, it says subject to 10% penalty if withdrawn early. Reading on the website and downloadable forms confirms this. It states that if you are not 59 1/2 it will be subject to the 10% penalty. Unless you are using the retiring at exactly age 55 exception.

Don’t forget about the soon to be forced water rationing. They are proposing a 50 gallon limit per day. Also forcing all new homes to have solar, whether ya want it or not. What about the state income tax, on top of the Federal income tax? What about they pay at least a buck more per gallon of fuel? Your reasons plus the ones i listed, i will never step foot in Cali. Did i forget to mention the total :censored2: Nancy Pelosi?
Water rationing...whatever. I've already got solar, just makes economic sense. Gas, I pay about 40 cents more than the avg. Only 7 states don't have state income tax, and you couldn't pay me to move to any of them! I've never met Nancy, nor has she come to my house, so all is good. Some of you all are far too wrapped up in politics. You act as if the average working stiff doesn't get screwed over no matter who is in office.

But hey, don't let me interrupt your California bashing if it makes you feel better about where you live...

I don’t believe in giving the government anymore of my hard earned money than i have to. You pay thousands more in income taxes than i do, and that 40 cents a gallon adds up every week. Maybe you haven’t heard about the water rationing that is headed your way, already signed by the nut job Jerry Brown. California Governor Signs New Water Restrictions Into Law
I don’t see the trade off being worth living there. As long as you don’t mind the federal, and state government having both their hands in your wallet.

She is a nutball that hasn't seen a D* in decades...
I, for the life of me cannot understand why people keep electing her. The crap the comes out of her mouth makes absolutely no sense, and she can barely form complete sentences. She is the perfect bellweather of how people think in her district.

I know, it's lunacy to have a plan to conserve water in a state that has frequent droughts. We should just burn through our water every year, then wonder why we have no water in a drought. That's how I run my finances too, because I'm just that dumb. Kinda just like you hurricane states that are surprised every year that 3 hurricanes will be ripping through town and have done nothing to prepare for them. If you read your very article, you'd see what the numbers are...I couldn't use 55gal. per person, indoors only, if I tried. We've had these same restrictions for years, they're just becoming permanent.

While I agree, "I don’t believe in giving the government anymore of my hard earned money than i have to," in theory, you'd be incorrect in assuming that I pay more in taxes than someone who's state doesn't collect a state income tax. Those states just tax you in different ways at higher rates. Most of them have much higher sales tax, property tax, etc. Having no state income tax generally benefits the super rich, while average, hard working middle class people foot more of the bill...that would be UPSers...enjoy!

What I pay in state income tax annually is far less than someone would spend simply traveling for vacation for a week. I, however get to live here year round. You only live once, and life is too short to live in a place that makes you miserable when you're not on vacation!

It's funny how these threads devolve into a "I hate Cali" fest every time I mention that I'm in NorCal simply to give perspective as to what supplement I would fall under. Oh well, have fun....

I know that where i live, i pay lower taxes overall. Sales tax here is 7%, and my property taxes are low. I don’t want a bunch of useless government programs. The sooner people figure out that less government is better, the better off the entire country will be. California is the only state i know that has an app to let people know where massive piles of human feces are. I guess because things are so good there that people have to crap in the streets. There is a reason why people want to divide up California into 3 states. The Libs are ruining your state. I realize the entire state cannot be crap, but it is so innadated with Socialist Democrats, that i have no desire to ever travel there, or Washington state.

The economics now is truly a miracle, we appear to have transcended the base concept of "market bubbles" and are inflating stocks to record highs without rhyme or reason. There is a darker side of this story though: this market might only possible because of the lack of consumer choice in several industries, consumer "trust" in this booming economy is at an all-time low. I would love to be wrong, but even as a normal market cycle, all signs point towards a depression.

(Pelosi is awful, we socialists have said it for years now)

Hilarious that the butt of every joke...Florida! has an opinion about another state. When I open the "crap app" it has a big dot on Florida....lol, just kidding. You for some reason just assumed because I live here that I support everything the state government does. I'm just saying that in spite of all that, it's still worth it. You can pound all the Fox talking points about California at me all you want, I live here and know better. Once again, you are too wrapped up in a political argument that you really are no part of. You continue to argue on behalf of people that don't represent your financial interests at all. Union members supporting billionaire republicans...now that IS funny.

Like Obama ever did one thing for unions in 8 years. The guy destroyed the economy. The economic numbers do not lie. A stronger economy is better for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you don’t like Trump, he has almost single handidly turned this country around in a year and a half. A stronger economy benefits the union, and all working people. You probably didn’t get any of the Trump tax cuts because California took it away from you, but i will take an extra $80 a week in take home pay, something i never got the previous 8 years.

The stock market was going up under Obama because he kept pumping money into it. There was no real economic value in the market. The stock market today is going up the way it should, reacting to a growing economy, not a fed printing billions of dollars and falsely proping the markets up. Time will tell.

I love how people from there try to defend it so hard.

Why can't they just accept some people want nothing to do with it?

I'd guess that's less than my wife uses for her showers. Sorry no dishwasher today or clothes being washed. Only flush if it's #2 kids. Lmao
