calling in drivers, unless they were laid off, is totally insane
The western region preloads, and I assume PT sorts, are currently on their own little production ride and the daytime delivery ops have to call drivers in early to acommidate.

Either way to answer OP, you deliver ground after preloading then you earn FT rate.
You also get 1 1/2 rate for hours prior to scheduled start.

Management says we are offered the work so therefore not eligible for time and a half

We’ve had drivers called in to (sometimes scheduled for) preload since long before peak. It really sucks for people that didn’t get the call when one that does works preload but then volunteers to go home afterwards due to excess drivers.
