I stopped by the center this morning to see if my uniform order had come in and chatted with our PDS about the bid. He told me there would be no OT and the wage would be closer to a $6/hr cut.

If you are truly on short time, start to slow down.

You don't owe the company anything.

The way I look at it its a job I could easily do for another 5+ years but our pension never tops out...

To OP:
As for what to expect to make in your first year under the current contract...

Started FT 10/14. $18.75/hr until 10/15, then $19.50

Many 2 & 3 day work weeks last winter until spring hit (Late March-Early April) Worked nearly every day the rest of the year except for 1 vacation week.

Grossed $48k for 2015. I think if you work the full year, your summer hours will help you make bank due to the overtime.

You should be well over $40k by the end of the year.

I somehow went from 18.75 to 24.61 in just over a year...Idk how, but after taxes, doesn't seem to make much difference anyway..Those good old NY taxes..
