FedEX buying back Ground Routes

Sorry hoss, but traditional defined benefit pensions are going by the wayside because funding them is nowhere near as easy as it once was. See Motors, General.

GM was about to go bankrupt, whereas FedEx was extremely profitable at the time Fred decided we didn't need the Traditional Plan any longer. Another of your comparisons between apples and oranges that make no sense at all. FedEx didn't need to dump the Pension Plan, but of course, you are defending it. What a surprise.

If you think we're on a road to serfdom...

USAToday recently cited stats from the Census Bureau that showed 48% of Americans are now either lower class or impoverished. I don't believe soaking the rich will solve anything. The only thing that works is hard work but there has to be a reward for doing so. If our only reward is the right to exist for your benefit the system will fail. Tell me how that's possible with low pay, no benefits, no retirement?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ahem.

If you think we're on a road to serfdom and see many similarities to the conventional image of robber barons, you're crazier than MFE. Robber barons get a bad rap anyhow. The gilded age created some insane economic growth in a relatively short period of time.

Smith is a modern day robber baron, and here you are defending him and his ilk...again. As someone else said, the "insane economic growth" created by them was the Great Depression. Another Einstein moment for you, eh?
