UPS has yet again kept their streak alive of maintaining or raising the dividend for shareholders for nearly 50 (FIVE O) years.

But there is no money left for the 2nd class UPS freight workers. UPS supposedly has no money but they always have an abundance of scare tactics, fear mongering and retaliation. Bottomless.

If UPS was willing to shut freight down for an extremely small amount of extra demands for less than 12000 Freight workers; Imagine what they are preparing to do to save exponentially more $ by eliminating RPCDs. It has already started here.

If you are not following the methods 100% of the time. Make sure you start. Take your paid breaks, go the speed limit or 1 mph under or a safe speed for the conditions, honk the horn, use the handrail, hazards, left blinker, left shoulder, left mirror, chain on the door, good drs, dr bags, ring the door bell and knock, shout out UPS etc. etc. for the at least 340 methods.

No doubt about it; They are coming for the RPCDs now and it will only intensify after peak. UPS management are experts at covering their tracks and all their bases when they want to target drivers for termination. UPS- Ultimate Professional Retaliation.

Grieve every warning notice; don't let them build a constructive termination based of a history of minor infractions. As of your first warning notice; Demand all ODS messages, all telematics reports for all drivers, and any other reports UPS uses.

If you know they are coming after you; Some have recommended memorializing and documenting everything. UPS corporate policy does not allow the use of video recording devices to document your day, but the NLRB has conflicting decisions regarding employers rights to ban employees recording. Protect your livelihood. If it comes down to Managers and On-Cars words against yours; Management will prevail. COVER YOUR ARSE.

We perform tens of thousands of methods everyday. Don't let them terminate you for being 99.999% effective.

Here they come; Don't do anything stupid. Integrity for RCPDs is and has always been A#1.

The freight industry sucks as bad as long distance. An alphabet soup of local companies killing each other and leeching their own growth as an industry. UPS can raise rates because they cannot be priced out in the short run. They would be an excellent guinea pig then to raise rates, raise wages, and raise capacity before anyone else has a chance to react.

They aren't preparing to do anything.

It has already started here.

It's always been going on.

If you are not following the methods 100% of the time.

You're mad that UPS wants you to do your job, the way you were trained?

They are coming for the RPCDs now and it will only intensify after peak.

No, they are not.

UPS management are experts at covering their tracks and all their bases when they want to target drivers for termination.

They only target drivers that aren't doing their jobs.

Yep if you want to be a sheet they can make your life miserable

Best just to mind your own business and do the best YOU can do

You think this company wants to get rid of good drivers?

How can they make your life miserable? They can only do what YOU allow them to get away with. We have plenty of contract language and "methods" to use against them to actually make THEIR lives miserable. 9.5 list+methods+full lunch&break+orion=lower stop counts. Imagine if even 1% of drivers messaged in for union assistance with the multiple over 70s we have to deliver everyday? Learn your contract front to back!

The only thing we need to fear is a weakened union or a lack of representation. Otherwise we have the power to make big changed with this company. Sadly, only 1% of the members know and follow the contract.

The industry average is not a valid comparison. They are all professional freight drivers but UPS is a vastly more profitable company than the others. Here is kinda what we are dealing with here. Who gives a 'friend" what every one else makes? It is how much pressure you take everyday and how much your company makes.

Think of it this way;

In the 2009 season, the average yearly salary for an NFL player was around $770,000 USD. In comparison, the average salary for a CFL player in 2009 was approximately $50,000 CAN.

Both Leagues employ professionals football players but one group of professional faces a much higher injury rate, higher job loss rate, and their company (NFL) makes a boatload more cash.
