Diad has a map nav now. I only know 2 loops because my on road sup refuses to lend me to cover vacations in other groups. Of course the other cover drivers in my group have been out injury since last year.
Going out blind in the summer is fun but winter time is rough without a good flashlight.

Where is this map nav? One thing you’ll learn about this company is it’s not the same everywhere or for everyone.

Where the ODO to RDO softkey used to be.
Its not GPS but its handy when you get an spilt and think "this is a bad address" because it says no map data or shows a long hidden drive way.

I know a guy in our center that knew around 50 routes he started to get custom routes built on saturdays pushing 150 miles for 120 stops, he quickly bid a Monday thru Friday route this year.

If several drivers are calling you a "runner". Your most likely a runner, I made this mistake my first few years. Do yourself a favor look at your surroundings more enjoy what's going on around you.. Do as they say and stop and smell the roses you'll enjoy your job more, and your body will thank you later. We are not machines and you will never been able to keep up too UPS ridiculous standards as they get harder every year. Just try enjoying the routes more, the bid drivers will like you a lot more

Sorry but feels like a slippery slope that ends in stealing time. I enjoy the job already some days I am the only one smiling at the PCMs. I dont try to keep up to any standard besides my own which is to work every minute possible whether its through planning my next 10 stops while drinking a bottle of water or driving safely to my next stop free of distractions.If several drivers are calling you a "runner". Do you remember what it was like your first 30 or first peak? Thinking how does anyone do this job? You and your body adapted. I believe in using my two wheeler to preserve my back. I use three points of contact every day not just when its raining or snowing.
I know I may be the only service provider it takes to lose customer or gain one so I take the time to learn their names. And they know if I say I will be back later with your ground pieces that they can expect me by 1130 not 1650.
I cant help it if my coworkers misdeliver or missed the pick up the day before. But I dont bad mouth them. All I say "He must had a tough day, sorry."
Just about all peak I went home tired working 12-13 hours. 9-10 hours days now feel easy.
Thanks I feel all fired up now for tomorrow.
(Should I have mentioned my issue is with other Millennials*?)

Knowing 35 routes gives you options. Gain some rank in seniority and stay a cover driver each year, that’s alot of vacation routes to bid on. Because everyone races (at least in my center) to bid on any route that’s available, it is a pretty great opportunity to get on something you choose to be on. Being on the same route gets pretty boring and mundane. Firm believer that if you stay on the same route, area knowledge wise you become a little one dimensional. You get more cranky when you have someone else’s splits and area, helping others.
