Try thinking for yourself, I know it would be a departure, but give it a whirl. Protests in Iran are nothing new. The Ayatollah isn’t going anywhere. It’s nice to see the people upset but if we try to aid them militarily I doubt it will go well. We can’t garner international support for them because our president has no credibility on the world stage. Good for the protesters, hope the Iranian leaders don’t have to kill too many families to end them this time.

Box Ox is like DIDO. He seems to be getting sucked into the propaganda/lie vortex and has seemingly lost the ability to think for himself.

Both used to post sane, well though out posts. Now, they're converging and spouting gibberish.

Come on, Box. Put down the Fool-Aid and use YOUR brain.

Seems like a waste. He won’t.
I didn’t think Trump would have to balls he has shown in the Middle East so far. I never pictured him drone striking an Iranian General or escalating force with Iran.
For a dove he is doing the right thing so far. Would be amazing if he went all the way with this thing.

It will be fine

Yes. The Iranian people will greet us as liberators and a new era of democracy will sweep the region. I mean I was high as a kite through a good chunk of the Iraq war but I could still tell it was a bad call. How high does one have to be to want to repeat it?

Trump, Bolton, Pompeo and the entire administration have openly advocated for regime change in Iran since Day 1. Of course, he's going to support protests against the ruling government, and if he were to interfere, that would be pretty stupid. So, he probably will if they start shooting protesters.

These are not massive protests, because it's very dangerous to be anti-government in Iran. You're never going to see really large rallies, because they know they'll be shot or sent to jail.

I know you don't understand imperialism, but interfering in a foreign government's affairs to try and change leadership is exactly that. The fallacy that we want "democracy" for Iran and love the people is pure BS. We want their oil, control over the region, and to appease Israel and Right Wing hawks whom Trump needs to stay in power.

Try some research, other than FOX or Breitbart.
You said the same thing about Iraq, we're there for the oil. There's a new paradigm these days. The U.S. has become the largest producer of oil and gas and our primary roles in the Middle East are to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, to defend both Israel and Saudi Arabia from Iranian aggression. Your theory of American imperialism doesn't hold up.

Fracking is far more expensive than conventional drilling. We still have an interest in controlling Middle Eastern oil. If we were so self-sufficient, we wouldn't need or care about the Straits of Hormuz.

Since Trump wants out of the Middle East, why are we concerned about defending the Saudis and Israel?

The new paradigm is that Trump says we need to let the Middle East handle their own problems, and then he inserts the US directly into confrontations that insure our continued presence there.

He thinks like you do.

He has respect and that’s good enough.

And Democrats support a terrorist regime that commits countless human rights violations against it's own people, and countless acts of terrorism around the world.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Thank you for posting a picture of our president Donald J Trump at the opening of the Global Center For Combating Extremist Ideology.

He stands in stark contrast to the Democrats who have come out strongly in support of Iran, one of the worst terrorist regimes in the world.
Too bad it wasn't opened before 9/11.

Well gee, why would we want to protect shipping lanes? Because if the access to oil is shut down it affects financial markets. Nations can't function without oil. Come on college boy, use your brain.

And you freaked over Obama bowing. Trump is making a solemn pledge to The Orb of Evil.
