Nah, it doesn't matter once you're off the road. We have guys work over 60 on the regular, shifting on the yard and such at the end of their runs.instant day off right?

Shoulda dawdled around a bit more and worked over 60.
Are you a RPCD driver?Good point. In any case I am refusing tomorrow. But I've gotta investigate how strong/weak my local is. This job, I think scheduling 6 punches is risking injury or accident. It's not enough that I've put in my usual 54 hours and prolly handled 1.5 times more the pieces.
Don't refuse. That could be considered insubordination or job abandonment. Just call in sick and hope I feel better on Monday.
Are you a RPCD driver?
Make sure you do. Too many drivers already shot their mouth off this evening when they found out.See my post above, #368. I'm going to call per the CYA method, but still -- I don't like it, it's pussyfooting around.
I'm too lazyYes. See post #368.
I'm enjoying the day off too, I feel too sick.I’ll be enjoying life tomorrow. Have fun at work, especially those being “forced”

It's double time after 60 on any day.[/
They are paying time and half here over 60 on Saturdays as helpers. Saying only double time if you’re driving with 70 hoursThis article 26 language is a bit vague. "Will [not] be forced to work a day off and exceed 60 hours" ... Because of the conjunction and the preceding language, seems like it's aimed at cases where the 70/8 rule is enforced and we're not protected against a forced 6th punch pay actual, e.g., 62.01 hrs is covered, but I don't think 52.01 is ... Also seems weird that the sentence specifies RPCDs red-circled under article 22.4(b), because that's just us T-S drivers.
My steward says I can be forced to report as a helper (of course at driver rate) and exceed 60 (at double time) in any case.
$600 to carry packages?Punched out 59.99 hrs ...I WIN
$600 to be a helper all day?
Actually it's 60/7 and 70/8- if you do a 34 hour reset you can start all over again. If you dig into it, you will find that the reset is actually at the driver's discretion. Of course, UPS goes ahead and resets everyone because it is convenient for them.VIOLATION!
The 34 hr reset language is garbage. It's 60 hrs in 5 days, or 70 in 6, then you get a whopping 1 day off to recover.
