Actually the protesters in France are rioting over liberal policies that are making their lives tougher.

Can't argue with that.

Actually the protesters in France are rioting over liberal policies that are making their lives tougher. They aren't advocating for liberal policies. And we had over 300,000 new jobs last month, much more than projected. Trump is making it better and do you know why? Capitalism!

Hear ye hear ye - austerity measures and the dismantling of the welfare state have been the impetus of the riots.

You’ve never had a family that you felt compelled to take care of in any real way, so you have no idea of how dire things are.

actually you can argue with it because america doesnt count things as taxes like tuition, healthcare costs, childcare, etc.

theres a french guy down the block from my house. he says they have a higher standard of living there than we do here because everything is much cheaper despite them earning less.

so before trump, who was the last president to make things better?

didnt trump increase taxes on the poor slightly? i know he cut them on the rich.

youre using the wrong language: its not liberal vs conservative policies. its rich vs poor policies. trump serves the rich. as does macron and the guy before him, and the guy before that guy.

Think a lotta middle class Republican voters are gonna be unpleasantly surprised come tax time this year due to the standard deduction hike.
chomsky and wolff say that if trump supporters find out theyve been trumped thats when you might see stronger yearnings for fascism.

France isn't Greece. The riots were set off by Macron instituting a new tax to pay for climate change. Those aren't liberals out there rioting, or angry young Muslims. Those are middle class and working class men who've been left behind by their government's policies.

and the corporate sector is innocent?

the riots have 80% support in france so that includes left and right.

I said it's a middle class and working class rebellion against the government's liberal policies. Whether Left or Right the government's policies are hurting them. Years ago I read that in France the government, in an effort to increase jobs, was requiring people to not work more than 35 hours a week. If you were found working past that you could be arrested. Literally were arresting people found in their offices working after hours to get caught up. When you control people that tightly, continue to put greater burdens on them, sooner or later the dam bursts and you get the rebellion that's happening now. It's not a bunch of ideologues like Antifa pushing for radical change, it's just about everyone saying enough is enough.

it probably has wide support. im pretty sure they are still doing it. ill ask the guy down the block.

youre just talking about govt again. what about corporate sector? have they been outsourcing jobs, attacking unions, corrupting govt, banking fraud, etc?

You need to realize Ricky in a system like what France has it's the government that's the ultimate boss. They dictate to corporations how they'll operate in France. It's a different paradigm than the U.S. model.
