Good bye to the Friday after Thanksgiving

It's a paid holiday until the next contract. It's double time for all hours worked plus 8 hour holiday pay at straight time. It's an easy day for me because most of my business and pickups are closed.
We will see what happens at the next contract. Probably offer us an additional option day

PCM Monday was that about 1/2 the zips in my center will not be delivered. The day after is not a holiday anymore, so layoffs with no pay make it a no brainer for the bean counters.
I do believe it is still a holiday according to the contract, so I will be making double time plus 8 hrs holiday pay just like last year.

Love it!! They think it hurts my feelings that they are FORCING me too make 102$ a hour

Naw, I'm just not as miserable as most people I encounter, here and at work. I don't get in any hurry but I keep a good pace, this job is what you make of it. If you make it out to be some sort of prison sentence then you'll be miserable your entire time here. I enjoy what I do, take my time doing it, and keep myself in shape to make sure I can do it for 30 years.
