He was actually pretty good in his younger days when he drove for Gibbs and Yates.
It used to be the Dale and Dale show. Jarrett and Earnhardt racing for the win.
He was well past his prime though, when he started driving the 44 for UPS.
Couple that with a subpar team, and yeah, he sucked.
UPS definitely sponsored him after his prime.
