You must have really pissed them off to get canned during peak.

Usually this is when they are bringing everyone back that got terminated earlier in the year.

And after you've already been terminated for that, how long does it take usually?
Assuming you filed a grievance, its the Union who has contractual onus to make themselves available for a hearing within a certain time frame contractually.

Here it is 10 days.

Aside from that, the Company has liability for your losses if the termination is not righteous, so it is assumed that they don't want it strung out over a longer period of time than necessary.
