Strength through joy
update;
cost to NY for undercover "sting" $100,000
Bloomberg has authorized similar sting operations around the country .
Jim Cavanaugh, a retired agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, where he was in charge of the Nashville division, said he didn't believe the sales described by the mayor were, in fact, illegal.
"It's not a prosecutable offense" because the purchasers were not truly felons, minors or drug abusers and because they didn't tell the sellers definitively that they were, Cavanaugh said. As for Bloomberg, he said, "ATF has asked him not to do it and to please coordinate with ATF if he thinks a violation is occurring."
In 2007, the U.S. Justice Department warned in a letter to City Hall that such civilian operations risk "legal liabilities" and can "unintentionally interrupt or jeopardize ongoing criminal investigations."
The mayor conceded that most illegal guns in New York City are coming from states along the East Coast.

Check out www.theboxotruth.com for some real-world ballistics and penetration comparisons

You know bbsam, the gutter thingy and guns may indeed have a real world connection after all. Consider these points.

Website linked above "Box of Truth"? Oh Baby!

Ballistics?
The term ballistics refers to the science of the travel of a projectile in flight. The flight path of a bullet includes: travel down the barrel, path through the air, and path through a target.
Can you say "MONEY SHOT!"

Penetration Comparisons!
Would depend on length of barrel?

DAMN! Guns and Sex do share a lot in common after all!

:wink2:

I wonder how many gun owners would admit to standing naked in the mirror, flexing what they consider their most impressive muscle group while stroking their weapon of choice and muttering Dirty Hairy quotes. "Feel lucky, punk?" Or John McClain, "Hasta la vista, MF." Disturbing, but funny. Whatever number admit to such things, could probably multiply by 10 to get a good idea of how often it really does happen.:wink2:

"Are you talkin' to me?" "Are YOU talkin' to me?" "Are you TALKIN' to me?"

I don't know. Are you naked in the mirror stroking a Glock and role playing Joe Pesci? Man, guns and sex make for weird happenings! Just for fun, post a picture of that...no, don't.

I know you are sooo much pro gun. If it was up to you, they should be sold at grocery stores, too.
But, on the other hand. Those great laws in Arizona (not requiring ID or checks), well, just maybe 1 of these days, Al Quada will be shopping at those gun shows, or any other extremist group.
Can't get easier then that.

Whats good for the gander is good for the goose.

Besides, maybe NYC was there, because of a crime investigation ?
They could have traced some guns back to AZ ?
There ya go again, making crap up to add nothing to the conversation.

Well, they are going to Mexico, I'm sure some are ending up in NYC :

Feds Bust Arizona Gun Sellers

Mexican authorities have long complained about American guns flooding their country, and now they may have proof. U.S. officials arrested 17 people in Arizona Tuesday, saying they were part of a smuggling ring that made legal purchases of about 700 guns—including AK-47s and semi-automatic handguns—and then turned around and sold the weapons to the Sinaloa cartel, a leading Mexican drug gang, illegally. Overall, charges were made against 34 Arizonans. Authorities say all of the suspects are either American citizens or legal residents. "Drug cartels go shopping for their war weapons here in Arizona," said U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke.

Very funny, Sober, but I didn't really need photo evidence of my theory. That could drive a guy back to drinking!:wink2:

If the gov't can make you buy auto insurance, health insurance, send your kids to a monopoly school system, etc. can they also make you do this?

"If" this passes I guess this will also have to go through the "circus" courts before it might make it's way to the center ring!

You are a fool if you think for one second that I do not support gun laws. I do believe that there are gun laws that are legitimate and necessary. I DO NOT believe in banning my rights to own guns. I do believe in gun control. My gun control starts in MY HANDS.

You are a fool if you believe for one second that banning guns stops criminals from having guns. IT DOES NOT!
