Baker declares public health emergency, bans sale of all vaping products
Baker announced the four-month ban of all vaping products in Massachusetts, effective immediately. The ban prohibits the sale of all flavored and non-flavored products, including mint and menthol.
He says the goal of the temporary ban is to allow medical experts to collect more information about what he calls an outbreak of severe lung disease associated with vaping products

Hard to parse.
If the fatalities and massive lung injuries were from illegal THC bathtub vape operations, it’s not clear to me how banning legit vape operations will solve the problem.
Also, four months seems mad arbitrary.

It’s just more propaganda. I’m not an idiot who thinks nicotine liquids are harmless, but I choose to vape because I like it more. Taste better, not as stinky as cigarettes and not as messy with all the ashtrays.
You want to solve people dying from black market THC products, you have ways to prevent that. Mainly not allowing the black market to regulate those products without legitimate competition.

California has an “assault weapons” ban, universal background checks, firearm registration requirements, a one-handgun-a-month purchase limit, a requirement that would-be buyers secure a safety certificate from the state before purchasing a gun, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, and ammunition controls, among other things.
Teachers in California are also prohibited from possessing guns with which to shoot back if under attack.

Reports indicate that numerous persons were shot Thursday morning at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California.
Breitbart News reported the police response to a shooting at Saugus High School on Thursday morning. Initial reports highlighted that police were searching for the gunman, but Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office noted that the suspect turned out to be among the initial six individuals taken to the hospital.
The suspect was identified as a 16-year-old male.
Speaking live on Fox News, Wegener said surveillance video “clearly shows the subject, in the quad, withdraw a .45 caliber handgun from his backpack, shoot and wound five people, and then shoot himself in the head.”
