Sorry bub, but ill chose to live in peace and quiet. I choose to live in a neighborhood where I dont need to have a gun or sleep with one within 100 miles of one.
So your afraid then of other places to live...what a wussy.
Ill make the choice to live my life in areas where I dont fear my neighbors, but embrace them as friends.
If you talk and treat them like you treat people you disagree on here then i doubt you have any friends unless then are Christian hating Liberals like you.

Five days ago in Redding California a 68 year old woman shot a 37 year old dirt bag breaking into her bedroom window. She fired two warning shots while on the phone with the police begging for help. The intruder left the bedroom window and climbed into her house through a front window. While the 911 operator was on the phone --the woman fired two more shots killing the intruder !!

Police arrived long after the incident was over --this time the right person lived !! If she did not have a gun what would have happened ?? Does Tos believe after he robbed her -he would have politely left ??

I heard the audio of that and you could feel her fear. She had just bought the gun for protection too.

TOS' argument about the same amount of guns being sold in Canada, yet look at our gun death rate is laughable. Did she actually read what she wrote? Who is doing the killing? Let's look at the stats. How many of those people were kids raised by kids who were the kids of kids, all of whom were raised on the free hand out system?

Its not even that, what we have here is another case of TOS pulling stuff from his/her rear end and posting it on the BC as truth. There are enough guns in the U.S. to arm every man, woman, and child, and last I checked the U.S. population is nearly 10 times that of Canada's. So to say that Canada has just as many guns as those in the U.S. is an obvious lie brought to you by our local Marxist propagandist.

I agree Brett.
And if Canada did have the same amount of guns, esspecially hand guns, (by capita), it would be interesting to see if our murder rate would be just as high as that in the US.

What do you think ?
All experts say Canada has a lower murder rate because of the gun control in place.

"Canada: After enacting stringent gun control laws in 1991 and 1995, Canada has not made its citizens any safer. "The contrast between the criminal violence rates in the United States and in Canada is dramatic," says Canadian criminologist Gary Mauser in 2003. "Over the past decade, the rate of violent crime in Canada has increased while in the United States the violent crime rate has plummeted."

Why don't you find a website from 2011 or even 2010 ?
We're enjoying the lowest crime rate since the 70's !

It take decades for laws like that to have any improvements (like when people with guns pass away, or get too old and no longer need them).

Just like spending money on education or healthcare - don't expect results to be instantly.

Claiming all experts is a bit of a stretch I'm certain its only the experts who are pro-gun control. Here in the U.S. the places with the highest levels of gun control have the most crime and the highest murder rates.

And that's why those States implemented those laws.
I'm not sure if the future will give more of the story and if it will be a success or not.
But, it's not like there are border patrols between states, - for all I care you could probably ship guns via USPS , UPS, or whatever into those States.
Hawaii on the other hand is different... not that accessible, and they enjoy 1 of the lowest murder rates (gun shootings and other crimes).
So, there ya go.
