Couldn’t tell you. Maybe they thought he had a weapon on him. Maybe he’s known to have a transmissible disease. Maybe they just :censored2:ed up big time in not tackling him. Will have to see. Won’t be burning down any city blocks in the meantime.
the thing is they ended up touching him anyways when they were pulling on him right before they started shooting him.

so why not tackle him way before that? how did 2 of these officers :censored2: up who were following him?

It’s a mystery to me. Will have to wait for more information.

UPS sniper A white Kenneth Ayers survives his arrest for attempted murder. A black suspect turns his back on police, dead.
Ayers surrendered and followed Police Officer's instructions.
Blake was going for a weapon in his car after ignoring police instructions ... that's what any intelligent person would think in that situation.

Said it looks like it's not a justified shooting. Which it does in the absence of additional information. Which is why I look forward to learning more.

I normally agree w you but can't on this one. Even without context, repeatedly disobeying orders, resisting arrest, and rushing to a car tells the viewer "this person is not planning on complying". Given the statistical likelihood that a young, violent black male has to not only resist arrest, but to pull a gun and shoot at police, I would have done the same thing in their shoes. "Comply or die" should be the new motto
