Hiding Miss Loads

A residential signature required saver, if you accidentally hit commercial, CAN NOT be removed from the report.
You can void it and resheet it with your diad, but you will still be in the office tomorrow.

Like I said.

Corporate training we were required to take says sheet as missed........

Sheet as missed and let union know.
You know something real sneaky they will tell us to do. If it's a commercial stop. Say a DR. Office they know closes at 2pm. They say sheet as closed after 2. I have even had them tell me to sheet a business as closed before 5. Shady

that pops up in it's own special category on ~the reports~, so your management aren't being too bright there

Food for thought on the integrity discussion. Every damaged package is sheeted as refused in my building by all drivers no questions asked. Hundreds a month I'm sure for years. Never do they sheet/use the damage option in your diads. I know the diad does not train you like that. If that's not falsifying records then what is. Why the diad doesn't have a hold for inspection option that would put a honest expcetion on the package is beyond my pay grade. Of course now that I think about it, I'm sure it would be abused and used for every non delivered package.

Corporate instructions you sign off on vs. oral instructions from a sup/oms.
Falsifying records vs. failure to follow
Drivers version of integrity vs. managements version (and both vary greatly from man to man)
There's gonna be no right answer for everyone in every situation

When it comes to a hearing for your job sitting in front of a panel.

It's very clear right vs wrong.

Have you been in this exact situation since you know so much about this?
No because I've never been fired for failure to follow instructions. No management is dumb enough to fire someone for failing to follow instructions when they are telling you to falsify records.

I've been at hearings however and seen people fired for falsifying records when all they were doing was doing what a sup told them to do.

Exactly just don't do it. If they ask you to do something shady have them send you a message and take a picture of it.

Bottom line I still wouldn't do it. They do try pulling that crap with the younger drivers.

Seriously with all the crap they screw up on a daily basis, o can't believe how far they go to get a misload delivered. Some of the easiest money I ever made.

Well I think smart people wouldn't go by word of mouth to falsify records. But being sent a message is two different things. I've seen people get fired for falsifying records on there own free will. Never seen fired for doing what a supervisor has sent in your diad. Not saying it has never happen.

Yeah even pictures and messages can't save you if they really want to push the issue. Because all they have to say is you've been trained. You know better. Why did you agree to this?

It all depends if you're lucky enough that the customer never calls corporate and questions it.

Like I said sheet misload as NSN. Customer calls in wanting to know why they don't have their package. They look and see you sheeted it NSN 25 miles from the house.

A simple message from a sup isn't going to save your ass. It just means you'll both be disciplined because you both knew better.
