Hiding Miss Loads

It all depends if you're lucky enough that the customer never calls corporate and questions it.

Like I said sheet misload as NSN. Customer calls in wanting to know why they don't have their package. They look and see you sheeted it NSN 25 miles from the house.

A simple message from a sup isn't going to save your ass. It just means you'll both be disciplined because you both knew better.

But how come drivers don't get fired for NSN a stop because they don't want to deliver it. Happens every day at my center cause drivers want to save time and miles. They get called in on all the time for it. Drives me crazy because I'm the driver that always has to clean up that crap and get yelled at by the customer because there package wasn't delivered the day before.

The difference is only one would/could lose their job over it.

...and you stand there and take it...?

I would never lie to a customer to protect the brand.

Give them the toll free number.

All depends on who gets ahold of the information and how much they want to push the issue.

It's a total crap shoot. Not a chance I'm willing to take when I could just do the right thing and never have to worry.

Yeah even pictures and messages can't save you if they really want to push the issue. Because all they have to say is you've been trained. You know better. Why did you agree to this?
We need more routes. We can barely get done now. Now you want me to run a business misload two routes away.

No..sheet it as NSN
NOPE! YOU COME GET IT AND DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH.IT!

Oh I don't lie. I just tell them the driver the day before didn't wanna come out there. Not gonna cover someone else. It's a circus show at my center. I'm sure it's like that at other places. What I'm trying to get at is that not every center/hub is ran the same way.

We have drivers that have been fired for the same reasons multiple times. I guess my union is that good I don't know. I just know I get pissed when I run a route in a loop that I have a 10 hour day and the other guy has an 8 because he won't deliver all his stuff. Doesn't get fired for it though.

What are examples of the type of stuff that he brings back? Is he on a rural route and is he bringing the "chasers"? (Chasers are packages out in the middle of nowhere.)

Yeah. 15 minute drive to get there. Bad roads.

A good rural driver can dump those in town.

We have a driver who we mockingly call "4 o'clock Rock" as he will NSS and NSN stops just to get done early. He is off the road for a year (DWI) and when he comes back we will sit down with him and tell him this :censored2: don't fly anymore.

And he will likely tell you to pound sand I don't work for you.

A good driver just delivers them.
