Special? Me? Not hardly. If I were special, I wouldn't shoot 100 or more every time I play golf. I am just happy and content. Too bad you can't say that.
Of course. With you Old Falcon fart it's always "me, me me". We get it ..ok. That's fine just as long as you don't expect us to respect you and your way of thinking.

I’m retiring in Dec,talked to pension people etc. before they sent paperwork they asked me my retire date and what date to commence if different from retire date so you can retire and delay if you want to. When you retire your first check will be the first of the month after your retire date unless you choose to delay. For me I’m out dec 23, first pension check will be Jan 1 by direct deposit.

401 at VG will be moved to Rollover IRA at VG also ,if you keep in 401 the feds tax any withdrawal at 20% ,by law. In IRA you can choose how much to with hold when you withdraw any.
Another thing I found out is you can move money to IRA before you leave which I am doing,if you leave and don’t move it before then you have to wait 45 days to do so . I don’t know why but guess another move by our politicians.
Congratulations. You will love retirement. Nothing like doing what you want, when you want and not worrying about setting an alarm clock. Vanguard has an excellent advisor plan for their clients. They charge .3% of your balance to manage your account but I believe it's well worth the cost. I went with a different company but I was impressed with Vanguards plan.

What are your plans for medical insurance? There are many choices a person can make and all are expensive.

Nothing from tex even after I posted directly from the retirement handbook describing the TPB increase. I guess he is shell shocked that he was wrong about said increase.

Do you think FedEx would or even could waive the drug test requirement?
DOT might be willing to relax the clean test requirements over peak by allowing very small amounts of certain types of controlled substances showing up in test results and not disqualify the driver. But that's a big maybe.

Did you not see my response? You just said you posted directly from the retirement handbook but all I saw was your interpretation of what you saw. Give us a snapshot of the paragraphs that spell out you'll get 10% a year more if you wait.

By the way when my pension drops at 67 to a much lower amount it'll only be $117 a month. But was told that it would be $228 a month before I elected to take the accelerated pension. Turned out in the fine print it said the amount shown may not be the final amount. I had seen $117 before but when I saw the $228 thought they had made some kind of adjustment. No, they just lured me in.
For your own sake you better have it in writing exactly what they're going to give you or you may be shell shocked yourself.

Talking to couple ins brokers, best policies are way too high but there is one with 680 monthly premium and my RHPA is 25k so I can use about 600 month til Medicare so about 80 out of pocket.Got COBRA letter can keep dental and vision for 25 or so per month total.
I do have daughter that I will have to get policy for,it’s anout 170 month.deductibles are high but no way around it unless I get a policy that’s easily over 1k month.
If no RHPA account would have to work til 65

Cobra and retiree insurance deductibles are the same as a working employee. I found anything on the open market to have deductibles WAY too high. You might save some on the premiums but the out of pocket expenses are too high. Even though Cobra can't be paid with the RHPA, it still works as a way to get good insurance and help make the RHPA last until you are very close to Medicare age.

LOL. So I guess you are calling clutter a liar. Figures instead of admitting your mistakes, you resort to name calling.
You refuse to get a direct quote from the retirement office on whether you'll get 10% a year or not and whether that's spelled out in any documents. That's on you, not me.

Refuse? LOL. I got confirmation from retirement years ago when my financial advisor told me about this plan. When you call them, they tell you exactly what clutter and me posted. The increase is there and there is no age limit for when the increase goes away. You are soooo bitter that you got left behind during retirement, you won't accept the fact that others did the right thing and won't have to move to a foreign country to live the good life. Sad
