Depends on what you mean by "warmer". Here in Phoenix, guys mostly retire first chance they get. Summers are absolutely brutal to work in.

Up north they get snow during the winter months.

A lot of people like to escape the valley summers and head up north for some weekend relief.

So yes, it is much more tolerable up in the mountains.
