It went negative not only because of less demand during the start of the pandemic but also because of the dispute between Russia and Saudi Arabia. But that had nothing to do with Biden shutting down drilling on Federal land including ANWR which greatly.reduced American production and we once again have had to turn to Middle East oil. And we could have left Afghanistan long ago but it was Trump who initiated us leaving, not Biden. And between that and shutting down the southern border Washington made sure that Trump was booted out. He threw a monkey wrench into their plans and status quo.
Do you even know what AMWR actually is? Furthermore oil companies that sought to drill on federal land couldn't get the financing they needed . BTW Is that evil socialized healthcare program still paying the bills for your father's surgery and rehab? Same old thing out of you pseudo conservatives. You're always demonizing the left while holding out your hand to collect every damn dime you can get from the programs the left passed into law. After all according to true conservative ideology it is your father's fault that he needed Medicare because it's his fault that he didn't make enough money over the course of his life to enable him to pay his own way.

Just telling it like it is
She is a non factor in todays world. Went from a double digit lead to losing an election to a celebrity and a non politician. How embarrassing.
No, THIS is embarrasing.

I do, it's initials are ANWR, not AMWR. And oil companies had been drilling on Federal land including ANWR but Biden shut them down. Really hurt the State of New Mexico because taxes from oil revenue produced on Federal leases paid for half of their state's education budget. Where the heck do you come up with this stuff?

Because the government took money away from him to redistribute to others.

If you pay your taxes you are entitled to utilize the programs you helped pay for.

It's all public information and some of the best information can be found in the forward looking guidance every publicly traded oil company puts out there for investors to read and digest. Far better than what your TV bible Fox News will tell you. BTW How's your pop doing now thanks to his publicly funded surgery. It's his fault you know that he didn't make enough money over the course of his life to be able to pay for it himself. The basic ideology of the GOP is very simple.... " If you're not rich it's your fault".

That has to be damn embarrassing for you to see your father have to ask a public welfare program such as Medicare pay for his surgery in order to ease his pain. Now what was that you called Medicare?.... Oh that's right...."social Insurance". LOL Whatever the hell that is.

I believe that what he paid in over his lifetime would be a pittance compared to what knee joint replacement surgery costs today. especially when it's only 1.45% And Medicare was another Democrat initiative the GOP fought bitterly against. So when you talk about "redistribute to others" chances are right now Tex's dad is one of the "others" . And BTW based on earlier comments Fat Freddy's retired employee healthcare plan appears to place a heavy dependence on Medicare. So just stop and think for a moment what kind of plan would you retirees wpuld have if Bob Dole had succeeded in his effort to filibuster the House in an attempt to get the Medicare bill back into committee where he had the votes to kill it.

My dad has everything paid for, including a nice home and a Lincoln Continental, and about about $140k in the bank. And again, doing this for you because you're slow, I'm 100% for Medicare for seniors. And Medicare picked up most of his bill but his insurance covered the rest.

If it's public information then prove it. Oil companies had Federal leases all over the West but Biden shut them down. And it's not about oil company finances and you know it. It's about making the lunatic fringe on the Left happy. And that's a pretty big fringe.

I have in no way ever insinuated there was anything wrong with.Medicare. And it is social insurance. It's spreading the risk amongst the entire population to cover those in need.

I know it's now time to start attacking conservatives with the midterms coming up. Especially considering how much damage the current administration has done, is doing, and most likely will do. Got to take people's attention away from the administration's incompetence.

Actually my father was a Democrat well into his 60's. Liked Bill Clinton. He's 82 now, realized he was wrong about them with the advent of Obamacare. He loves this country and could see the turn the Democrats were taking that is now destroying it. Instead of knee jerk attacking Republicans all the time you should take a closer look at your own party. The things that are being proposed now by Dems are going to destroy us. The things they are actually doing like opening up our southern border are destroying us. If the Republicans can't dislodge these ticks in '22 and '24 it's pretty much game over.

There you go again cherry picking and exempting certain Democrat programs the ones that benefit you and your family from your wrath and hatred of Democrats railing against the programs that don't benefit you and your family.
Again and again Repugs rail against every Democrat sponsored social program ever proposed claiming that it will "destroy" the country . But, just as soon as the program can courtesy of extraordinary effort get passed scores of so called 'conservative" supporters are right there to sign up for it.

A prime example of it occurred earlier this year when not single GOP member of congress voted for an additional stimulus package but when it passed just barely a number of them were promoting the package to the constituents in an effort to make themselves look better. Including among them the GOP congressman in whose district I live who not only voted against the package but also voted to decertify the election.

How long would that 140K have lasted if it wasn't for Medicare picking up the tab? According to a study conducted by U.S. News and the National Healthcare Association the average cost for 1 year in a skilled nursing facility is now $102.500. If your Pop has to go there the Lincoln ,the house will be gone along with that 140K pretty damn quick and Medicaid will have to take over. Another Democrat social program the GOP failed to scare enough people into believing that it would "destroy" the country.

People rail against the Dems not because they're personal ideology is in conflict with that of the Dems but rather because they are embarrassed to find themselves dependent on Democrat sponsored social programs .If they find themselves dependent on it through no fault of their own that's just fine. But, why do they continue line up in support of right wing radicals hell bent on repealing and or defunding the very programs keeping from living in squalor ?
