I don't think anyone should have to die over their religious beliefs. It's the fanatics of each and every religion that cause the problems.

I don't hate Christianity or any other religion, sorry if I came across that way.
Just don't want someone else's beliefs shoved in my face. I can live a mostly moral life without practicing any religion.

that all sounds nice but you just took a position defending the Jihadist killing christians

Do you really not know the answer to these questions?

Sure I know.
But, an admittance of where our standard of morality comes from will silence a lot of the blow here.
Whats your answer? BU doesn't want to say .
How do you know stealing is wrong? How do you know lying is wrong? How do you know murder is wrong?

Well man invented god. So if the supposition is that morals come from god, then it stands to reason that they originally came from man himself.

Morality is inherent in humans that exist in plurality. How actions effect others is at the root. Social ties are the basis for right and wrong.

So morality evolved from man ? Sort of like pond scum morality?
We came to be from evolution and our morals evolved also, sort of hit and miss until man decided what was right morally?
But then you say morality is inherent ?
So, when a baby is born they inherently know that murder is wrong?
Which is it? Evolving morality or we just inherently know?
Social ties? What is that? If one society says murder is wrong and another says it is right, Who is right and how do you know?

It will be fine

Got an example of a society that says murder is right?

In mentally stable humans that exist in plurality.
So, when a baby is born they inherently know that murder is wrong?
Possibly the dumbest question of the day. Use your brain.
Which is it? Evolving morality or we just inherently know?
Humans form societies because it increases survival chances. Humans in plurality understand that what is good for society is good for the individual and vice versa. It's the basis for morality.
If one society says murder is wrong and another says it is right, Who is right and how do you know?
You don't know which society you're a part of?

You don't know which society you're a part of?

So, if 2 or more "mentally stable "( they evidently get decide that definition ) humans exist , morality is inherent ?

You stated morality is inherent not me. If morality is inherent , then you would have to argue that we automatically know that murder is wrong.

So the basis for morality is what humans have come to an understanding of what is good and the basis for that really stems from survival?

Yes, I know which society I come from. ( Possibly the dumbest response of your 4 responses ) .. Let me put it another way. If a society approves of murder, or say lying is acceptable , but the plurality of people in your society has come to a plural conclusion that lying is wrong..Can you say folks in the society that have come to a different conclusion than you did are wrong?

How about this? Answer in the plainest and simplest way the original question..How do YOU KNOW murder or lying or stealing is wrong? Thanks..
