Bad Moon Risen'
Good thing all on the job injuries are 100% covered.
Not when Liberty Mutual sends you to see their IME and they then deny the claim. After a two year wait to get a hearing in front of an administrative law judge, you may prevail and get your money back, minus the attorney fees.

My prediction. Company is going to throw around numbers for a bit which the union will keep rejecting. Final decision will be the union taking over the healthcare. I agree I will not vote yes for paying a penny for healthcare. If the company was in financial trouble I would be more understanding.

I am confused. My local has Blue cross Blue shield through central states. My wife is pregnant. Estimated out of pocket is around 700 dollars. My buddy's wife is pregnant as well. He is a sheriff's deputy. Out of pocket expenses for them is 4500 dollars. Please explain to me how my insurance sucks.

Easy, I am on the company plan. Wife and child went into distress. 2 days intensive care for wife, 3 days intensive care for child. Total bill was over $35,000.00. I paid zero.
Your insurance is inferior to what I have now.

My hubby went to the ER last Oct. with chest pains. 3 days later and 2 stents, he came home. I never added up the total cost but it didn't cost us a penny.

Try going to a doctor that you need to see that is out of network because Central States does not have a specialist in the area of medicine that you need.. I had to pay the entire bill for services that they refused to pay, to the tune of 3700.00, and the prescription that doctor gave me was also denied.. I had my kids 24years ago so I can not speak of what they will cover now for child birth.. I was recently admitted to the ER for 4 hours and my copay was 200.00 and then I got the bill after central states paid the reduced amount, and I had to pay 20% of the full bill.. that 20% was over 450.00 that I also had to pay.. I do believe you when you state how much your out of pocket expenses will be for your pregnant wife, but how am I paying 650.00 for being in the ER for 4 hours and you are paying 700 for childbirth... Personally, any proposed contract that forces us to pay for this SH***Y insurance , will get a NO vote from me.... also I agree Blame Canada! and Terrance & Phillip

This is just a slap in the face...plain and simple!!!
From both sides!!

How can you call it a "slap in the face" when we haven't even seen a final proposal yet? Perhaps you ought to withold judgement until there is something concrete that we can actually read and analyze and vote on.

You need to come to my local. We always get letters like that which tell us how our bennies improved. Ours get better and better.

Where, fantasyland?
Local 251. Best bennies in the state for private employment. And if you do a health screening you pay zero for office visits and other adds like additional chiro visits, etc. We had Blue cross then switched to united. It was an exact plan we had with BC but our local saved 5 million over 5 years in the switch. People were going nuts because we were switching. Some wanted to vote it down. We have better bennies now than w BC. It's because of Principal officer knows how to run a local. Sandy Pope should take notes.

Exact same plan or better? You said it was both. I think you are just like Hall. Speaking out of both holes.

Slap in the face for 2 reasons.
#1 Hall said not 90 dollars, not 9 dollars, not 9 cents or he would walk away from negotiations. He hasn't.
#2 For a company that made 4.38 BILLION DOLLAR PROFIT off our hard work, to be stuck on this is an insult.

Wtf are you talking about? We HAD BC, then we went to UNITED. Same great plan but we saved 5 million. Since that time we have had an improvement in bennies way beyond what we HAD. Like a not paying for office visits and zero, deductibles and such. I know it's had for a TDUer to focus on all the words. So I'll make it clear, since our principal officer took over the local years ago from the drug dealing thief TDUer we had, our benefits got better every year since. Not surprised though.

Its a slap in the face when the company is making such a huge profit and asking for concessions . The union for even entertaining the idea!

OK. I have nothing to compare because me wife has had uneventful deliveries for our other kids. My family did not go to ICU. Lets try to compare apples to apples and not apples to BULL. Thanks so much. Bye bye now. (PS Glad they came through ok. They did right? You didn't specifically say they did.)

Wife and kid are both fine, thanks for asking. But you're missing the point. Normal delivery equals zero dollars out of pocket for me. Serious complications equals zero dollars out of pocket for me. All under my company insurance plan.
Your union plan sucks compared to mine. I don't want your crappy union run plan even if it is better than some cops insurance plan out where you live. OK. Get it now?
