Load all NDA's

I don't mind my regular loader putting my NDA's in the truck, but when he isn't there I like them under the belt in a tote. The fill in loaders :censored2: and it turns into an Easter egg hunt trying to find them

I can tell you how I do. 30 years of putting up with ups bs without getting fired. Following the methods without shortcuts. Following the rules. Never issued a warning letter. 25 year safe driving member. When u were a baby I worked during the one day over 70 lb strike. And then hurt myself with over 100 lb pkgs including herniated disk, 3 repaired hernias with mesh, brand new shoulder last year. If ur still checking, notice I was working during lunches. Also note I was there an hour early each day to go through my truck. AND No Comments about working off the clock people..heard it 30 years.Ur department would be the only one with enough time to query some old guys route cuz ur curious lolol. The rest of us are trying to comply with outrageous demands and no time to query.Oh, by the way, I'm retired and love play time at brown cafe to vent
Skipping your lunch and loading your car for free ???? Sounds like they played you for a fool....and I will never go in for a surgery because of these guys....not going to happen...and it hasn't and it won't...never

There is so much wrong with this.

You followed methods, yet hurt yourself with over 100 lb packages? Wrong.

You followed methods, yet came in early every day to go through your load? Wrong.

You followed methods, yet you worked through lunch every day? Wrong.

Keep up with your playtime on BC. You are no longer believable. Just another troll wannabe.

Lol. Again I don't care what you think...I figured the guys here would concentrate on the negatives instead of the good stuff. And you didn't dissapoint. So much hatred here from the current working people.

we encourage people to follow the methods as well as NOT working off the clock or through lunches.

When folks try saying no "family time"

dude, you knew what you were getting into when you signed the bid list to become a driver... jeez

You really are a funny guy, Nothing. You amuse me, like a clown. A clown with a rainbow wig and a big red nose.

Let us know when you finally have something substantive to talk about. Until then, go away.

IE goals are based on your demonstrated ability, so they're definitely attainable
There's a certain point where they aren't. But nobody wants to admit it.
if your PKG plan is a 114 while your BP is a 89.7, your planner or PKG specialist should be fired; that's not IE taking you to pound town, that's "the person who plans my PKG is a lunatic"

anyways, a preload PPH is meaningless except as an overall component of inside PPH; if inside PPH is being made, but you're missing preload PPH, nobody gives a :censored2:
I've gone through this in two different centers in two different regions. There is something not being communicated if that is outrageous.

And before you tell me nobody cares about preload PPH, you must be out of your mind. Right now if preload misses their PPH the center manager and Preload sup have to sit on a conference call and explain how they friend*ed up and basically get shamed in front of the district. That's not inside PPH, it's preload. I covered for the center manager last week and had the pleasure of doing it myself. It's a mess.
your planner must be truly terrible, i'm sorry, i'd never advocate a shorter span, or put more PSP's on the road (that's actually heresy in IE)
I would love to see a shorter span. We've been told to try it. But it only works when we know what we will see in the morning. Which as you know doesn't happen. Our heaviest day this week was 34% higher than our lightest. We can't absorb that.
I won't comment on the rest of your sperg, but have you ever thought about training an OMS to do your job?

there isn't much reason for you to be there past 3-4pm, as long as you're on call for an accident
Something always comes up. I don't trust an OMS to do my job because I'm always asked the next day what happened with this pickup or that. Not to mention I like to see some of my guys when I get in in case they had issues that need to be discussed. Too many sups bolt the first chance they get.

We are (or have been) a company that does a lot of the same thing every day. So everything we do is broken down onto basic movements and measured, under average (not perfect) conditions. Along the way, this has helped us become very efficient.

Used properly, the variance to an IE measured time can illustrate where we have a problem, in setup, methods, or conditions. This way, we don't waste time looking where a problem isn't. In other words, there has to be some kind of scientific base for a good job.

The business plan really isn't what IE does, upper management does that. IE is there to say, yes, this is or isn't physically possible under average conditions. We also should develop methods that minimize cost and effort.

Regarding the 1DA, there's no question loading it in the car is the best plan. Where we don't do it, it's because we don't execute some other part of the plan, so we can't TRUST that we won't have a 1 day air "found in load".
There are plenty of measurements that are over exaggerated. You're right, it's an easy way to see where there is an issue. But when the entire center is screwed, it's either the entire management team is bad, or the IE plan is bad. But it's never IE, right?

1) IF the BP is 90 and the PKG plan is 114, someone's friend*ed up. Either the IE didn't look at it, or someone thinks it's a stretch goal and that someone is delusional.
IE planner tells me it's achievable. Been here all week and hasn't been able to demonstrate it. But they refuse to change it.
2) The air trailer is GONNA be late. Louisville gets >110 1DA flights per night. The odds of an aircraft having a significant delay (90 min or more) due to weather, lightning, mech, etc. is 1 in 63. This means they choose, most nights, whether to hold the entire outbound fleet to capture ALL of a late inbound plane, or let the fleet go half way through. If you're in the NE, plan on 20-25 min.
That's not acceptable in my opinion. Are you really advocating for us to fail every day? If we have a trailer thats 40 minutes late everyday someone in feeders is getting reamed. But it's okay for our highest revenue source? That's insane.
3) Who said a center has to increase SPC by eliminating AM air routes? That's just the easiest no-think way to do it. You might NEED the AM route, and STILL need to reduce FT driver dispatch.
If I NEED the AM route it's going in. Safety, service, performance.
4) No one says anyone doesn't work hard. I walked out of ops plenty of days knowing I didn't fix EVERYTHING I knew was wrong that day, but as some other old timer told me, you can't save the world by yourself, just do the best you can. But having said that, I've had to stop myself from doing stuff I wanted to do (that had a justifiable purpose) and force myself to do OTHER stuff I didn't feel like doing, that might have gotten me a better return on my effort.
I'm not looking to fix everything. I've put in a lot of effort to fix the things I know will provide benefits. But, when someone else plans for me and my coworkers to fail, I have an issue. When IE puts up stupid numbers I get to be the prick, and I get that, it's my job sometimes. But it really pisses me off when I have to have the performance talk with a guy who had a 12 hour day and delivered 50 stops in the dark because we just HAD to hit SPC that week.
