If this contract passes, watch the stock price jump and management stock options go up. Very disturbing that the Teamsters and UPS are in bed together. The teamsters want to unionize all of ups freight so they can collect their dues money. So we are sold down the river. We gave em an inch and the Teamsters let em have a mile.

Threats and over zealousness for a yes vote. This contract will hurt the majority of UPSers.

There are 2 places the money saved in this contract can go. Mgmnt or back to customers in lower pricing. I'm thinking the customers won't see it.

Yeah, the customers prices will go down.
Just like your car payment, house payment, gas,....oh hell I've seen a sharp decrease in all of my monthly bills.
I'm investing the savings in FED-EX

Hey That Fed ex stock actually make more than the savings account interest the UPS stock rakes in. Mike Eskew you better give the shareholder some value or retire.

I guess he will retire.

when did you ever care enough about this web site to start posting here.
Management has a handshake agreement with your union representatives. They have always encouraged you to participate in voting and always told you why they felt they made a good offer. You on the other hand find this offensive but think nothing of using this web site to post your anti company / anti contract message when you apparently had no interest or concern for this web site prior to this contract offer.

Tie,
I'm glad that you're not making the decisions on who can post here. If you did, you would be the only one on here.
Another example of, he doesn't agree with your point of view, so lets run him off.
It isn't your place to tell someone when it is time to start posting here. There was a time when you were a new poster.

I don't think tieguy was trying to run him off, I think he was just making the point that we already have enough people who joined up just for the sole purpose of telling people how to vote on the new contract so we don't need anymore.

Lets just face it, that is Tie’s way of saying hello, welcome to our forum, this is who I am. It’s his way of flying his flag so people know his position. I was on the receiving end of that when I started, oh way back last week or so…its his way of hazing through the riffraff’s, to see who is dedicated enough to their beliefs to carry it beyond one or two visits, with one paragraph sound bites.

We're paying 9 bucks an hour more for services rendered and 6.1 billion dollars to bail out a pension. Not sure how we equate that to a savings.

Last time I checked I was on a public forum and it was my place and my right to object to the influx of one issue posters that have come here thinking they will whore this site to push their agenda.

The voice actually had the sense to see what we have here and started showing his respect to the site by toning down some of his material. While i will still disagree with him on some of his material I won't object to his posting when he pays proper reverance to Cheryls hard work.

You at one point had the same attitude and perspective and have somehow completely lost it.

Voice if you think my postings are all about management good / union bad then I think you've missed many points. If thats all you get out of it then thats fine too. Respect the fact that the overall mix here is heavily slanted towards your perspective as evidenced by polls here that did not mirror the national vote.

I give my perspective sometimes it defends the company sometimes it does not. Most who disagree with me tend to see me as someone who only defends the company.

This contract is much more complex then the standard evil empire vs the working man spin many of you put on it. shame on you if you can't see past that level.

despite your best efforts to keep that wall up this company and union will have to learn to work together for the better of all. If enough of you fail to realize that then this company is done and your union is not far behind.

Excuse me, but you're constantly whoring your agenda on here too. And it is what it is; an agenda; personal feelings, opinions, that constantly need to be pushed forward.

You're far from telling anyone else that they need to "see past that level" or to say somene else is spinning; you should to follow your own advice!

Not only will that 6.1 billion be a savings- it's a shrewd and calculated investment that could end up saving the company millions more down the road. It wasn't a gift, it was a way to save and make money and take CONTROL. You ever hear "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer"? How about "you have to spend money to make money"? UPS is not poorer after spending 6.1 billion, maybe they won't make over a billion next quarter, but you can bet your sweet a** they will make a profit, and it won't be chickenfeed.:wink2:

How about a savy, smart move to insure the future of your employment....Afterall, UPS has been around now for 100 years..And you??

It wasn't a gift, it was a way to save and make money and take CONTROL.

The only control would be to make sure UPS is competetive and around for another 100 years perhaps to support your dysfunctional offspring!!

Let's hope so for the sake of your employment!!:happy-very:

Wow, how can they be so blind?

You were right, when you said;

Not only will that 6.1 billion be a savings- it's a shrewd and calculated investment.

That 6.1 billion saved the pension of all past and present UPSer's who are in the CS/teamster pension fund.
Very shrewd, indeed.
