If you truly feel like the contracts have never provided you protection from routine management and Company overreach, then you’ve had a very fortunate, and very rare career run. Long live the BOG, baby!
Kept his head down for years.
Never hid behind behind the contract.
(He hid under the desk of course.)

My motto:

There's an "I" in Union and a "ME" in Teamster.

I don't care about management. Same way I don't care about your child support payments, lumbar support issues, bar fight last Saturday, or that your kids hate you.

I am here for the pay. pension, and benefits. Not teambuilding or helping someone when no message comes through my board.

Your name implies that you’re a slave when in reality your an employee. Could it be that it’s just a screen name and not really true?

So last Friday a qualified driver completely bombed their route and now we have to have some bs team building meeting thing tomorrow. Me and 3 other drivers are getting “taught how to be team players” because we didn’t help. The best part is no one ever asked any of us to take packages from slow guy jones, they expected us to ask slow guy jones if they needed help. You’re high outta your mind if you think I’m gonna volunteer for extra crap. Especially on a Friday. So how’s your night going guys.
How do you help? We aren't allowed to due to Orion.

Old school, we were free to help
No sups involved.

Don't help out without notification, you aren't a team player
Go and help without notification; terminated for stealing overtime

Exactly.
Best message I got on the DIAD: Call (your supervisor).
Response: Arrow down. #4. No. Comments: I have no UPS provided phone.

Drove back to the hub and punched out. Not a word was said.

I have figured it out a long time ago. So slow guy has figured it out also . Go real slow and he gets his Ass bailed out . How about slow guy carry your own out there.
How about management not over-dispatch "slow guy" every friend'n day of the week! BTW, "slow guy" has NEVER asked for help on a route. Management just sends "slow guy" out with more work than he can complete in 9.5 hours. It's all part of their plan to pit drivers against drivers hoping to get more work out of everyone. However, "slow guy" just works the same "30 year" pace day in and day out, regardless of circumstances, so that he can actually make it to retirement age.
